It's not theft. If I complain to the cashier/manager they will remove it, and have given me permission to remove it as well. I asked (because I am a respectable member of society) and they have given me permission to remove it.

OTOH, if lagtastic asked if he could have greeting cards for free, they would say no.

Oh, so now cashiers are in a position to allow you to steal from the company? Someone has to pick those stems up. That's manpower being used due to your actions, which just adds to the weight theft. Disgusting.

Uhhh, if you went to a board meeting and said, "we are going to tell the cashiers to give the green light to customers to rip off pieces of fruit/vegetables so they weigh less" I am pretty sure you would be met with a resounding GTFO

The wings are clearly boned when you buy them, and you aren't paying for the bone when you buy them.

False, my local stores charge meat by weight (yours do too, but they just have it already weighed, and priced, how do you think they come up with those prices).

You are not. You're altering the product, and striking an alleged "agreement" with a low-level employee so you can hide the fact that you are a thief.

There is no legitimate reason to steal, EVER. If you are hungry, need clothing or shelter, etc... There are plenty of organizations that can provide that for you.
