When she found out the vitamins weren't covered by insurance, she decided that his being small and underweight wasn't that big of a deal. She wouldn't spend the $40 a month it would be for him to have them, but has no trouble going to a hairdresser and spending $120 in a shot, or buying 5 shades of lipstick at $30 each.

The day she was supposed to get the vitamins but found out they weren't covered, she literally went to a shoe store and spent $350 on herself for shoes that were a "must have".

Naturally she was excited to meet such a well known super athlete, and im assuming she thought she was going to get "paid". The night went as planned and there were no major problems as I have been told. She collects payment (assuming credit card) and goes to process and looks to see that Tiger Woods himself has left her a $10 tip on an $85 dinner. I can only imagine how disappointed she must have been. My friend told me she cried over it lol We all got a laugh from it though.

That may seem like somewhat of a standard tip, but seems quite frugal when you are one of the wealthiest global athletes ever. This was long before anyone knew how much of a tool he was.
Wow, this post made me like Tiger again.

Most (all?) banks have a counter just like coinstar, without the fee/having to buy a giftcard.

My old bank had one right in the lobby, you poured your coins in and it printed a receipt to bring to the cashier.

My lady does this, but I think she generally enjoys doing dishes after eating, like its therapeutic or something. We only use the dishwasher on large holiday meals.

This article says the University of Wisconsin decided Century Gothic over Arial was the way to go. ~30% less ink and at $10,000/gallon, that can save a lot of money at a university or some business. Maybe a bit stingy as an individual, but a whole organization making the change can save tens of thousands a year potentially. According to the article, U of W spends $100K on ink a year, so there's lots of room for saving. Hell, if they could figure out how to go paperless, they could save most of the $100K+paper costs, but someone would likely call the university stingy for not wanting to print stuff.
that is not the university of wisconsin fyi. that is uw-gb. i would imagine UW would use a lot more ink and paper than that seeing as it is ~6x bigger.

I agree with the first part. Not only does it use less water but it also takes less time for the dishes to go from dirty to put away. I can deal with the twenty minutes of labor.

Why did you need the dishes to be done instantly? Seems like a wasted 20 minutes to me.

Dirty sinks make me chew my nails and tap my fingers until both bleed. I'd have to spend the 20 minutes at some point.

I prefer to just handwrinse dishes directly after use. There are no germs unless you just ate the germs and it saves time and energy. Just trying to teach all the kids to do it it sucks.

dishes do not take 20 minutes unless you just fed a 4 course meal to a 30 person family

Dishwashers are usually more efficient than hand washing
Another link talking about cost savings of a dishwasher

So, assuming a fairly modern dishwasher, choosing handwashing over dishwasher is quite possibly costing stingy people extra money.

i know a guy who i saw buying 3-4 different bottles of wine in the shop than at the cashier he started staring at his girlfriend, the girl didnt had enough money so the guy went and put back a few bottle to the shelfs. small shop, every eyes one them obv, probably everyone just felt deeply sorry for that girl =D
also just asked me for a cig with the explaination like "i dont want to crack up that full pack i had with me".
having ton of different stories with him such as we asked him for rolling paper once and he told us he would only give if we let him smoke too...

at the end he rightfully earned the nickname of "the parasite [his name]". having 0 friends obv.

I take unused paper napkins from restaurants to later use them as tissues. Even if I have tissues with me.

My parents used to drive to a different gas station if they knew that gas is 0.01 less there. The savings can only amount to maybe 0.50 minus the extra gas used for the detour and it might take up to an extra 15 minutes.

Also, your logic behind 'no germs on dishes bc your food was just on it!!!' makes no sense. What about cups, silverware, things your mouth directly contacts?

You misunderstood me. My meaning is this, at the moment you take your last bite of food, how many germs do you think are on the plate? How infected do you think it is that it needs a hotwater and soap scrubbing? Whatever food that remains will eventually become contaminated, but certainly is not at that moment.

Show me that you need more than a good rinsing to get rid of whatever you can come into contact with your mouth.

I used to put a dab of dishsoap on a sponge and "wash" them but I know how how horrible that is.

The tip used to be $20 but now that he is getting divorced, now its only $10

One of my non-drinking ex-friends tried to charge me and two others $70 to designated drive us to a club and back. After I told him to go **** himself he oh-so-generously lowered his offer to $20.
