Ok call it what you want I guess. I just consider it not being stupid with my money, when there's an easy low/ no risk way of getting what you want that doesn't hurt anyone.

Every single one of your examples are stingy (not that there's anything wrong with that).

It does hurt people though.

What is this oil change every day you are talking about?

It was earlier in the thread. Can't be bothered to find it but guy paid like $20 to have his oil changed everyday instead of paying $30 to park in a garage or something similar

Lol whatever call it what you will. I consider my methods to be more like life hacks than stingy, but hey to each their own. You want to pay $15 for a mixed drink at a stadium so be it. But I routinely sneak **** in to venues where there's both metal detectors and a pat down.

Once convinced a guy at MSG that my plastic flask filled with whiskey was a colostomy bag lol. When I had long hair I'd tuck a joint behind each ear before going through security. Girls have it even easier. My GF at the time once snuck 1/2 an oz of weed into a festival that had a pretty hard search. Just stuck it between her tits and walked right in pat down and all

I guess I'm confused as to what you do call stingy. If "hey, I'm just being smart and saving money" is an explanation that makes behavior not stingy, I don't even know what the word exists for.

The people who don't cheat the system and pay for the $12 beers for one. You avoiding paying for drinks makes the price go up for others that aren't stingy.

That's not stingy, that's just bringing weed to a festival.

Why would you not try to cheat a system that is designed to **** you? $12 for a beer that probably costs them less than $1 to buy. They charge you that just because they know that's your only option once you're inside.

Not saying I've never bought a beer inside a stadium, but you're a ****ing rube if you just pay that price without blinking an eye. I don't care how much money you make

Fair enough. I guess I consider stingy to mean cheap like it's a derogatory thing. I'm definitely not cheap. I once stayed at the Venetian for 2 months straight by myself. I just don't like paying for things when I know I'm getting ripped off, and I can easily get whatever it is I want by bending a few arbitrary rules

I think I've said this before but I'm happy to take food and non-alcoholic drinks to the footy because it's allowed here and I don't feel stingy. I sometimes will buy food there or some beers or whatever but feel zero guilt taking food in if I want something healthier or am just watching my budget. However I would never take food or drink into a pub/nightclub or eating establishment as it's not allowed and I'd feel bad about it and extremely awkward. You're not just paying for the alcohol provided when you are drinking somewhere. I've seen people take food into a pub to eat and they wonder why they're asked to leave! Would never dream of doing that.

I am stingy at the pictures though. **** them.

I think there's a lot of confusion today about the difference between cheap and stingy.
Some of the things mentioned are definitely cheap.

No.
It doesn't hurt anyone when the options are a) sneaking drinks into venue, or b) not drinking at all inside venue.

Personally I love a soft pretzel and a Texas sized beer that I don’t have to hide to wash it down. It’s a simple pleasure everyone should try.

You're allowed to take food and drink in. There's no sneaking food in or feeling you have to hide eating it. Alcohol isn't allowed though so I am happy enough to buy that when I am there. I don't do it all that often now but there's no shame in doing it. I can especially understand a family doing it or at least taking drinks in or something to save some cash. A family of five going to the footy every week and eating and drinking there would get really expensive.

What’s the largest serving of Fosters one can buy at a footy match? The 25 ounce cans? Those are great.Stingiest thing you've seen someone do
