My MIL re-uses her dental floss until it breaks.
I'm sure I've mentioned her in this thread previously, but don't think I've mentioned:
She leaves buckets etc out to catch rainwater to use to water her grass when necessary. She lives in an area with abundant rainfall, is elderly with a bad back, has over two acres of "lawn", her area has no water shortage, and her monthly water bill is $12.50.
Combination hoarding/stingy: when light bulbs and batteries need to be replaced, she places the dead ones back in the package with new ones, and puts them away. She seems to believe they still have some life left in them and will be ok after a little rest. My wife started throwing them away, but MIL would later go through the trash to retrieve them and store as above. My wife now brings such disposables to our house to throw away when she changes them for MIL as she finds it infuriating when she replaces a dead battery or blown light bulb with a previously replaced dud.
