More generally, we decided that OOT and 2p2 are slowly dying, and audibly wondered when Mason is just going to pull the plug. Poker in the old days was full of characters, whereas it is now much more efficient and much less fun. RGP and 2p2 in the old days had a much different feel to them, in some ways better and it some ways worse. I for one don’t resent the change, but somewhat wish I had taken better advantage of the things the old days offered.

Just one man’s take.

Tuna and LBR are excellent posters.

I was promised talk about the second best otter (not interested in the best otter obviously), I feel robbed.

Man it would really suck for OOT to die, but I guess you’re right. Thank god for the Skype group.

Alas, Chop’s agenda was less than fully formal. We all did wish for lapka’s return.

yak - I forgot to ban poker talk and that mistake resulted in it really eating into the agenda.

gm - We were surprised at how few people were watching the Skype simulcast of the meeting, maybe it's time for us to all move over to Twitch?

Yeah, that crap is boring. You should have told us to stuff that BS. Sushi was solid and there was enough non-poker talk to still make it a win. We did sort of talk about second best otter for a minute, but got distracted and never really locked that down. Readers are free to assume we would have picked them had we formalized a vote.

I must point out that the only vote taken exonerated me from the Fabian freeroll. I do have a bit more to say on that topic, however.

I haven't read (or tried to read) RGP in forever. Once it became a constant stream of spam, I gave up.

I'm probably completely misremembering the whole thing, but I think ramashiva was relentlessly trolling one night and accusing everyone and their mother of being a cheater when Wayno posted, "Answer your phone." and he suddenly stopped posting. Solid.

Ramashiva was a ridiculous pain at times. I ended up meeting him IRL and we made peace. He was, and likely remains, an interesting character.

Before I ever interacted with Howard, I remember him posting about a poker hand on RGP and listing, among his considerations on what line to take, the fact that the villain had once slow-rolled his friend in a huge pot and that he had been looking for the opportunity to get revenge since. I've liked him ever since.

Also I once remember him in another thread uncomfortably acknowledging that he couldn't believe he was posting in a thread that had "Poopjoy" in the title.

Oh OK fair enough.

And sometimes in some places Tuma makes me cringe (said he who makes Tuna cringe both off and online.) but then he says something insightful or super witty and I remember he makes shots at a high percentage

It's tough to tell from the angle of the first photo, but they gave us ridiculously large piles of ginger. That pile on the left in the second photo is about half the size it was at the start.
