If they were actually swimming in Sprite wouldn't the commercial atleast hint that it was Sprite they were swimming in? Thinking it is Sprite doesn't make any sense at all.

The shots with the goober hanging from the rim and the bottle floating to the surface have no bubbles. Water imo OR COULD IT BE FLAT SPRITE?

They are literally swimming in Water as has been discussed.

And, I believe that they are not trying to portray the water as sprite. i.e. they're not trying to make you think that they're swimming in sprite - that would be kinda dumb. However, I do think that the water is meant to look like sprite, creating a semi-subconscious link in your mind between the sprite and something that is very refreshing (the dip in the pool).

i think the hint is that its a sprite commercial.

OP, you should restart the thread and be clearer if you mean ACTUAL filming or what the commercial was supposed to be, because the first 40 posts or whatever in this thread are ****ED.
