SpaceX is making launches cool again, had the whole house watching last night. Started with me bringing up the countdown, caught it under t minus 1 minute and shortly everyone was glued to the screen. For something as routine as a satellite deployment I was surprised to see the interest.

Can’t imagine a FE person going to a launch with binoculars and a telescope with a live feed from the onboard cameras. We would have a new head asplode gif immediately

SpaceX released a new video of the Falcon Heavy launch. It includes a few new camera angles and a shot of the center rocket crashing into the ocean next to the drone ship.

Also, I never realized how much the two boosters missed their landing targets.

SpaceX launch and landing at 7:21pm local time from Vandenberg Air Force base. If you are anywhere in California look towards Vandenberg and you can probably see it.

Oh, and twin sonic booms too for the LA area!

Weather is great. Sun is perfect to backlight the rocket.

OMG, I'm in south Orange County and saw 1st stage separation, boost back and re entry burn perfectly from my backyard. Easily visible without binoculars.

People are saying it was visible from Phoenix to Reno!

National Geographic just released a 1 hour documentary called "Inside SpaceX" on SpaceX and the Falcon Heavy. It was released as the preseason kickoff to it's start of season 2 of the series 'Mars'.

Non-USA viewers need to use a VPN.

After all the SpaceX footage I've watched, this still brought a tear to my eye.

Elon released the video of today's water landing. Looking at that puppy spin. When I was watching this live, I thought it had no chance. Water landing was due to a hydraulic pump failure that drives the grid fins.

Here's the booster floating by Blue Origins launch facilities:
