I think you would make a great Dr.Smith, stowing away on one of the Starships heading to Mars.

Yep. I was just there. Never been happier to leave anywhere more than when I left LA.

Just had a successful static fire of Starship. The first flight is next week!!! Elon says it has a 33% chance of landing in one piece. Should be fun.

how many foreign govts did we overthrow to fund that?

For those who are still mesmerized by 150 foot rocket boosters landing on their own in one piece - check this out! It's the last SpaceX Falcon 9 landing imaged by the Air Force. All 14 minutes are cool but first go to the 12 minute mark and go FULL SCREEN. Then watch the booster do it's entry burn, go subsonic (watch the smoke rings) and then finally land. I had no idea that the boost took such a large angle of attack!!! That's crazy. I never knew it did that. Maybe they're practicing the starship flip maneuver?

SpaceX is scheduled to launch Starship SN8 tomorrow (Tuesday) sometime after 9am EST! Could be several hours after. The plan is to send the rocket on a flight to a 12.5 km (41,000 ft) height. At this point, the rocket will do a belly flop and "skydive" with it's fins to the landing pad. As it gets closer to the ground, it will reignite it's engines and rotate to a vertical position and use retro-propulsion to land vertically. None of this has ever been done before.

Elon puts the chance of a successful flight and landing at 33%. This promises to be a spectacular flight one way or the other.

I'm just a huge SpaceX and space in general fan. I've a few friends that work at SpaceX.

One thing I like about EJ's stream is that he has permission of both Nasaspaceflight and SpaceX to rebroadcast their streams.

A friend of mine just started working with SpaceX and messaged me about getting me on there. Man I would love that, but there is no way I would move to freaking Brownsville.

Any news from the people you know about them opening up more facilities in Trxas not so far South?

I'm not positive but they may have a small design center in Austin. I know Tesla is building a huge factory there.

Yes. LabPadre streams the SpaceX Boca Chica operations facility 24/7. You can see an almost completed Starship SN9 through the door of the large building. It will be ready to launch after Starship SN8 "completes" it's flight.
