A couple more days before it's first flight!

Oh and yesterday afternoon SpaceX Starship SN15 was moved to it's launch pad.

I was really impressed with the work SpaceX put in to win the contract. Well deserved. Also a nice confirmation of the SpaceX Starship architecture.

BTW, 6:15am EDT NASA will be covering Ingenuity's first flight. I'll be watching on EJ's twitch stream. First time an airship flies on another world.

Boom!!!! The helicopter Ingenuity has flown on Mars. The flight was a simple spin up, climb to 3 meters, hover then land. Helicopter is reporting all systems are nominal.

It looks like SpaceX is going to make a launch attempt for Starship SN15 tomorrow (Friday). Weather forecast is terrible with possible breaks in the morning and late afternoon.

Scrubbed. Next chance is Monday.

BTW, JPL announced today that they are extending the Ingenuity flight program from the 5 flights to a fly along with Perseverance. I was really surprised with the initial plan.

It looked very much in control. Stuck around for 5 minutes to make sure it didn't go boom.

During the flight I could feel my heart beating from all the adrenaline.

Here is a video from Stargate and the large crowd watching the launch:
