I was mostly trolling/joking (do what you like I don't care) but to answer your question no I only perform medically necessary surgery on persons under my care. I won't sully up this thread or Chop will have an aneurysm but you can check out the circumcision thread if you want some of my nuttery.

I think desexing animals can actually be beneficial health wise but each to their own. Didn't realise there was a circumcision thread, not sure I want to go there might be a step too far into the abyss.

My dog is intact. I have never needed to, nor wanted to, kill any puppies. What is wrong with you?

Larry and 27o have been desexed because neither has the balls to spay or neuter supafrey imo.

Let me guess, it is he?

But even so, how do you keep him under control? I once tried to keep a male cat with his balls intact. It was impossible. He just run away few times. He did come back eventually until he just disappeared forever. So for his longevity it would have been better to lose his balls.

How do you think the stray cats/dogs population is kept under control in europe? In USA? In Russia?

I don't like the idea. And I don't like the idea of desexing animals. But I don't see an alternative way to keep them from multiplying into the abyss. And I have seen, what does it mean unhindered procreation of cats. It is not pretty and ends in basically dying (OK not killing) from hunger and sickness for majority of them.

Cooper and Murphy seem to be OUT.

Top names now include Chewie and Griffin.

Pretty sure this dog is just going to be called dog.

Is this a serious question?

And yes, he is a he. But we also take care of a female that is also intact. We have no problems because we are responsible owners and have well trained dogs.

Completely serious without any trolling. It is hard for me to believe that it is possible to keep a he-dog who smells a she-dog in heat from tearing down all the fences between him and her.

I have never had a dog. But like I said I had a male cat completely intact. It was a torture for him and a torture for us.

Our male dog is still intact. It is not that difficult to keep him under control, even though he's about 110 pounds. We did spay the female.

I suspect most cat owners in USA#1 keep their cats indoors.

Re: *** Sleepytember LC ***

Actually, it's because we have white carpets and dog menstrual pads just don't work very well. Our dog guru also suggests that the current veterinary wisdom says male dogs generally are healthier if left intact.

Didn't she write "A Dogmaid's Tail?"

But you can't keep an intact male cat inside. My once meowed for about 6 hours without any break because I didn't want to open the door. And outside he got himself ( and because of the neighbours me too) continuously in trouble. It was not just fighting with other cats and coming back with his ear torn to shreds. That I would consider as normal. He constantly had people chasing him, throwing stones at him, trying to drawn him. I tried to protect him and chaos was complete.

lapka,

Sounds like cats aren't meant to be kept as pets.

If the only way that you could keep a cat as a pet was by blinding it, would you do that?

I find they are just OK but a hassle. Plus, wearing them makes your dog look like an idiot. Fortunately we can just send her to her other mom at the kennel.

It doesn't seem as if you have much say-so in the official naming. I recommend you bow out of that and call him whatever you want. A dog will happily respond to more than one moniker.
