27o,

What are your thoughts about wearing flip flops on a plane?
09-19-2017 , 11:42 PM
Shoes off where others are having coffee/food is gross, even if it's outside!
09-19-2017 , 11:43 PM
El T,

Once you remove them from your stank feet you are an *******, and everyone does that, ergo people who wear flip flops are *******s.

K, I walk by this kid about 4 days per week when I get my afternoon coffee. He never seems stoned or drunk. He's always out on the street at the intersection. He never says anything to me or anyone else, just holds his sign, so I never say anything to him. I usually just give him $1 and keep moving. I should do something diff tho. What can I do to help him? I'm considering talking to him, asking him what kind of help he needs or maybe give him a portion of my next poker win.

He's been out there with his sign for a couple of months.

Quit ****ing up his action! $1 and move along!

I don't think 107th airborne is a thing...

Surprised an actual member of the military has not taken this guy to task yet

Controversial opinion: I think someone putting vet on their sign makes me less inclined to give them money because there's an absolute assload of charities and programs that help veterans. There's dramatically less help out there for a regular old **** up.

Dude probably makes six figures a year standing there four days a week and lives in a penthouse.

Anybody remember a 60 Minutes type story on those guys making a killing in San Franscisco in the financial district? Some of those guys were making bank.

At least you're consistent.

Flew domestic in the US and boom: three dirty pair of feet in my direct surroundings. Got my blood pressure up, because what kind of inconsiderate jerk would think that it's acceptable to have his naked, ungroomed, smelly feet inches away from a strangers?

Can only imagine being a flight attendant and having to deal with this level of disrespect on a daily basis.

When I take off my shoes on a plane, I almost always change into fresh, clean socks.
09-20-2017 , 01:55 AM
Clean socks, relatively new shoes, not much walking done that day, no health problems leading to especially smelly feet = smell of your feet doesn't fill the surrounding = do whatever your please.

Not taking off my shoes when I am visiting someone's home was a new thing for me in Europe compared to Russia.

Josie,

talk to the dude if you have time. I mean.....It won't hurt. It will be for sure entertaining. And who knows, may be he is gonna say something that will give you an idea how you could help him more efficient. I don't know..... Just be you to him. You are good at being nice. And it won't hurt no one.

Even grosser! Someone near me changing his socks?! The thought of someone changing his socks in a plane seat...

The shoes and dirty socks still oozing their rancid smell. Just keep your shoes on.

I hold you in high regard, so I'd never expect you to be this person.

You are of course welcome in my home any time, GM. And I'd quite like to meet you in person someday.

HT,

The invitation is mutual.
09-20-2017 , 02:53 AM
107th Airborne? lol

At least do some research at a public library before you try to con people out of money.
09-20-2017 , 03:27 AM
This must be an uncomfortable (fancy) shoe problem. It's never even crossed my mind to take my shoes off in public.
09-20-2017 , 03:29 AM
I have some mild foot problems. I find it therapeutic when others' dogs lick and chew during long plane flights.

Confront him about stolen valour, make a youtube video about it, profit. Or confront him about stolen velour.

Also if this thread turns into tired Adam Carolla rants from 7 years ago I'm going to kill myself.

got zero problem with ppl taking their shoes off on planes as long as they don't stink

I know Euros don't bother showering or washing their clothes, so I guess this makes sense there.
09-20-2017 , 08:06 AM
Dids,

Yeah, us Euro's are well-known for being lazy, fat slobs.
