A Neptune man gave away the dog Monday night, days after it bit his wife, Neptune City police said Tuesday. The dog had been with his new owner a matter of hours before it attacked him, his sister, her child and a woman who happened to be walking nearby at the Brighton Arms complex. All four people were sent to the hospital.

Holy hell, a 100 lb pit bull? The breed standard is like 40 lbs. Either they were feeding it everything they could afford or they mixed it with something huge to create an even more terrifying beast. Maybe a Dogo Argentino/pit mix. Perfect lovable family dog.

pit bulls shouldn't even exist. Some sickos however long ago felt the need to breed a killer dog with absolutely no benefit to society. and spare me the home defense BS

For some encouragement, look at the top rated comments on that article. The fact that the pit bull lovers are getting downvoted could have something to do with it being a British newspaper though.

Saw a car window sticker today "Ban the deed, not the breed" with the requisite pitbull image underneath the text. At least people are self-identifying that they are idiots.
