Surely this is a ridiculous statement. For one, the pit I was just talking about is scared of many things and many people. Act intimidating and she'll sulk away, and if she bit you it'd be because she's afraid. Maybe that's fairly rare, but to act like almost all pits are hardened thugs that are missing the second part of fight-flight seems absurd?

It was sorta just trolling. I feel like trolling the pits online is ok. I know pits can be scared.

I was working at this house and they had a HUGE pit, like 100lbs. Very very thick. It was cool when the owners were there and I was introduced to it. Later I was with a utility inspector and had to show him something in the back yard and the owners weren't home. I opened the gate and the dog is there, only now he's not acting friendly. He's standing his ground and barking.

I'm about to tell the utility guy that I will try to call the owners and reschedule when he just barges into the back yard. The dog runs like hell back into the house and we don't hear a peep. It was probably hiding under a bed.

Nice musical satire on pitbulls from South Africa. Pretty NSFW though.

Quote:
An elderly woman is in critical condition following a pit bull attack in Germantown.

Police tell CBS 3 that they responded to a person screaming on the 5800 block of Brush Road.

When they arrived on the scene, they found a 96-year-old woman with multiple dog bites to her head and face. She was transported to Einstein Medical Center and is in extremely critical condition.

A neighbor tells CBS 3 that two pit bulls attacked the woman and that her husband took a broom to get the dogs away.

The pit bulls, aged 3 and 10, were taken away."
I bet she was over-stimulating.

What you guise fail to account for is the 96 plus years she walked around not being mauled by pit bulls because they were busy being the sweetest dogs ever.

2 on 1 vs 96 year old woman. Pit bulls confirmed elite at table selection.

96 is really old. That lady almost made it through life without getting torn apart by animals. Unfortunately one of her neighbors is a pit tard tho

It's a pretty cool website tho. And their compatibility scores seem pretty legit. Tons of 1s on all the pit bulls.

Like on most of these sites you have to read between the lines wrt to Ranger Rick

Quote:
Ranger Rick is a true Texan who likes to stick to his guns!

This guy loves to explore! With his strong and intelligent nature, nothing can stand in the way of his curiosity. He's a friendly boy who wants to play with his human friends, and in the play yard he loves watching his people and sniffing through grassy areas.

Ranger Rick is athletic and energetic. He loves playing fetch and can even catch a tennis ball in mid air. A smart boy, he's learning how to bring the ball back for another throw. He sure wouldn't mind joining his person on a morning jog. If it requires going in the car, that's great because he rides perfectly, hopping in and sitting perfectly still.

He is quite the gentleman and walks well on a leash. He loves an adventurous stroll out on the town, but tends to get a bit vocal around larger dogs. He's hard at work on his manners in public, though! Ranger prefers to have his space and humans to himself, so he is looking for a home without children or other pets.

Ranger Rick's confidence does not mask his need for a loving owner and a place to call home. His sweet and gentle nature would surely make him a loyal companion to a caring person. Don't miss the opportunity to get to know Ranger Rick and give him the chance to explore a great life!
And it's kind of hard to know that they're telling you that he will kill anything that he can get his teeth on but this place just tells you he has a 1 child, 1 cat, 1 dog compatibility score (he can't have any contact with children, cats, or dogs) and that he basically can't be left home alone. Cool shelter imo.

How do these *******s live with themselves when some neighbor kid gets his face ripped off.

"He's hard at work on his manners in public"
Oh, well at least he is trying.

Stupid kid should not have made eye contact ldo.

Should know better than to look directly at a dog that is "working on his manners"

A friend got a shelter dog (not a pit) about a month ago. He texted me a link to a page with pics of owners and their newly adopted pets. So many pits. So many families with kids.

The fact he is listed as German Shepherd/mix is why people find these places such a joke though. Has literally zero GS looks to it and 99% just looks like a pit.

Call a spade a spade, especially with stone cold killers.

And FTR, my BIL lives in Austin and his old awesome dog died so he recently got himself...a rescue pit. Wouldn't even be surprised if it came from there.

Yesterday I was at a house where they had wolf/pit hybrids. I think maybe that one is actually illegal.

Why tho? Wolves are not dangerous if they are socialized right. It's the owners.

Flipping channels just now and Cops is covering a pit that got out and attacked a neighbor's small dog. The cop asks the animal control guy if the pit is going to be euthanized. "Not if it's his first offense. As long as they pay the boarding fees, they'll get him back." It's in Houston. I wonder how many strikes they're allowed down there.
