I always point out that statistic being bullshit, which it is, because it solely exists so nutters can downplay the frequency of attacks. "There's 5,000,000,000 pitbulls in existence, most of them nannies. Only 300 people have been killed by these dogs (no other attacks on humans or fatal pet maulings are worth consideration) which means you have a better chance being killed by a butterfly!"
