The ASPCA makes a LOT of their money from pitbull donations. It's an entire marketing strategy for a lot of the shelters, too. Look up how much Best Friends Animal Society has in assets/revenue.

They did a podcast that is apparently usually well-researched on garbage dogs. Apparently she said they were indeed raised to be docile and non-aggressive (which, as always, wouldn't matter anyway). Check the research they're citing to validate it.
