Let me take a moment to tell you people who think that you've experienced shock: you have never, ever experienced shock. Shock can kill you. I'm lucky that I was only 16 and could recover from the body spasm, the stab to the brain, the freezing of the heart and what must have been a fire on my face. It would've been better if I'd simply passed out.

It was like a dream and a foggy one at that. I found that I was at the car, Jean's father was lifting her into the seat and putting her wheel chair in the trunk. Like a robot I got in the driver's seat and pulled off. There was no thought process in my head beyond 'this can't be happening.'
Then Jean told me to pull over. 'You don't have to take me anywhere. I just want to go parking.'
I'd been 'parking', of course, but I'll admit it I'd never gone all the way. But with Jean? Then she slid over and started rubbing my leg. And more. And she was so damn pretty. So I did it. I went to a local lover's lane and started making out with Jean. She was so good at kissing. She started to remove her clothes, I loosened mine. But it was no good. I was clumsy and the position was awkward. Then Jean suggested that we go over and find a spot behind the trees.
As much as I wanted to have sex I objected that carrying a naked girl into the trees was something I didn't want to do. Jean kept insisting, kept rubbing up against me, it was tough on me but, damn it!, I pulled out of the place and brought her back home.
Jean was crying pitifully. I didn't know how I was going to explain it to her parents. Here I was bringing back their daughter in less than an hour and she in tears. My only thought was to hand her over to them, endure whatever must be endured as best I could, and get out of there!
I was astounded by what happened next: Her parents were already on the porch and both came rushing to the car. 'Here it comes,' I thought, 'please don't let it be too bad.
Her mother took Jean into her arms, Jean still sobbing, and giving me a grateful look carried her into the house. A grateful look? I didn't understand. And then her father started shaking my hand, patting me on the back and thanking me most sincerely.
I was amazed and asked him why he was thanking me and he answered:
'You brought her back! We usually have to go and get her out of the woods!'

True story.

The way I heard that joke was the guy had sex with her while she was hanging from a tree and when he brought her home, the parents were thrilled, exclaiming:

"most guys just leave her hanging"
