Thanks for the reminder. Unfortunately, I've had some life issues come up that leave me unable to commit to a season long league. I just don't want to take a chance of being unable to filfill the whole season. I will hopefully be back for the NCAA squares pool.

Should we move to one $50 pool? If someone will volunteer to deal with the money I can do the pool. We will redraw numbers every 4 weeks, so 5 sets of numbers per participant.

Hope things work out for the best cokeboy. One $50 sounds good. I can do the money part, but I vote for a rerand every 2 weeks.

2nd on marknfw to do it every 2 weeks, but I'll live with 4 for the hassle. Just hoping it runs!

Thanks. Nothing life-threatening (yet) but definitely life altering for the forseeable future and will definitely take time and resources to sort through. Enough that i can't commit to this, sadly.

It's been really bumming me out that this little reindeer game isn't going to run in its current incarnation. So I've been doing some thinnin' and think I might have a compromise that takes a lot of the hassle of running the game.

1. Do ONE $50 pool. Same rules as OP. Runs 20 weeks and pays $250 each week. First 100 paid squares are in.

2. We randomize the sqares/players once and that's the board for the season.

3. Then randomize 4 sets of numbers for home and away. Again before the season starts. So each player will have numbers for weeks 1-5, 6-10, 11-15 and 16-20.

The board would look like this.



The above is a Google Docs image, but I'm technologically challenged and don't care to learn how to edit one when there are people on here that could do it in their sleep. (Brian?, Bidz technical support?)

This way, the board is set before the season starts and we don't have to go thru the hassle of randomization during the season.

If we start a new thread, I'll volunteer to keep up with who's in. Then if Mark can escrow, we just need to get the board set and published before the season starts. As for payouts to make it easier on the escrow, just payout after each 5 game set.

Should be doable and I want to play! Errr donate. What say you?
