Well, considering the law hasn't gone into effect, it is all guesses.

What business owner is going to call the police on their belief that there is a fake Service Dog? And the police are going to get there and the customer is going to tell the officer they have a disability and their dog performs a skill. And the police are going to still ticket a potentially real disabled person? That will go over well with the community.

Joke. There is no paper or proof of skill needed so this is a dangerous "outing" game. Which is why all disabled groups oppose this measure.

Potbellied pigs are emotional support animals, family to argue in court

I guess they couldn't find a lawyer

golf, if these people are successful will your doc certify a herd of black angus for me? I have a crippling fear that I might lose convenient access to grassfed beef.

I don't care what you use. We do the letter. The patient can choose whatever animal that makes them feel emotional complete.

Now we do the badges for purely marketing purposes. That is how I know all the animals of my ESA Kingdom. The Serval, the fish, the horse, and the parrot.

I am going to be doing an ESA pig next week. The pig's name is Kevin. As in Kevin Bacon. Cute.

I would need to get a signed release from the patient. Otherwise, someone may recognize the pig which would be a HIPAA violation.

That Delta “change” means nothing. You sign a paper attesting your dog or pig is trained. You don’t have to prove it.

Only a matter of time before the other airlines follow Delta's lead and eradicate this scam from the air.

How does this so-called scam impact you?

Delta didn’t do anything. You sign a meaningless form.

ESAs impact airplane profits more than anything.

LOL Delta if the passenger is the one who needs to sign it. I want someone to bring in a form written in crayon on construction paper and see what Delta does with that.

golf,

My BIL is pretty high up at Delta, I'd go as far as to say very high up. You want me to see if I can get any poop on this topic that is eventually going to shut you down?

Shut down my business of helping people navigate day to day challenges for a nominal fee?

Word to the wise. Delta ain't changing ACAA 14 CFR Part 382. Nondiscrimination on basis of disability in air travel. The DOT brought all their resources in late 2016 and failed.

I love stories like this. Brings in even more attention. And consumers.

Delta Airlines will require dog owners to provide proof that their animals are well trained before boarding a flight. Owners must sign an affidavit saying: "he's a good boy' yes he is, yes he is. He's a good boy".

I don't think delta's new policies will have any effect, honestly. It's more about limiting their liability when an ESA bites another passenger.

FWIW I just looked through my flight log, it's been 230 flights since I was last on a plane with an ESA or support animal.

Sorry I took so long to respond. I just had to do an ESA. Which I converted to a Service Dog letter. She wants to take her dog everywhere. Of course, it will be up to the patient to do the training.

Of course this policy won't have any effect on Delta or me.

Delta will require a signed letter from a doctor or mental health professional along with a signed document confirming an animal can behave during a flight. This is to prevent untrained animals from becoming a danger to passengers, crew, and properly trained service animals in the cabin.
Lolololol Delta! A signed document from the owner confirming their thing can behave. Sounds very official. Parents should have to that with their kids too.

One of my street soldiers is concerned about the vet requirements. I told her that I am not thrilled either. Delta went around us in the industry and I am going to lodge a formal complaint. They aren't getting away with this without consulting with me and getting my approval. I have taken on American Airlines. Delta doesn't scare me.

This was like when the Columbia government tried to extradite drug kingpins to the United States.

Quote:
The Extraditables was an organization created by Colombian drug lords in the early 1980s. Their motto was: "We prefer a grave in Colombia to a prison in the United States."

The aim of the group was to intimidate the Colombian government into banning extradition at the constitutional level (Colombia had a treaty of extradition with the United States) and they wanted to manipulate Colombian society into supporting their goal. Initially, the group simply published newspaper adverts in which they defended their position, and influenced political parties to speak in favour of their goals. However, over time their actions escalated into a war between the state and the drug cartel, with violent acts committed against politicians and members of law enforcement

Are you trying to SEO “ESA Scam”?

Everything I do is legitimate.

I provide a Department of Transportation approved product.

Delta Airlines is intentionally interfering with a patient’s right to an ESA.
