How about you put it on eBay and get rid of it before I put it in the dumpster.
Are you confirming that guitarizt is indeed your woodworking roommate?

guitarizt,

Are OP's allegations true? Did you consider obtaining consent prior to installing industrial machinery in your living room?

a lathe? wtf does he need a lathe for?
That's what we said. He works at a woodshop and his hobby is carpentry type BS/building guitars. Why the hell he needs a lathe in the middle of our living room I have no idea.
Where the [censored] else am I supposed to put it?

Is this really the roommate in question, or some moron trying to be funny?
I guess by process of elimination that makes me the moron trying to be funny.

Come on, you think OP would post about his roommate if he already had 80 posts on this site? And he never mentioned poker. I thought it was pretty obvious guitarizt was making a joke.

Menancingly place sentimental objects of his (eg photos of family) in the lathe. Deny knowledge.

Re: Roommate from Hell

I'm pretty amazed that no one has said this, but couldn't you just remove the lathe from your apartment in the middle of the night and just ditch it somewhere?

--Dave.

Edit: Lathes are fun. I'm personally jealous that he owns a lathe. Maybe he should buy a house to go with it.

For poker players you are all so passive-aggressive. Tea bagging and throwing dirty dishes in his room?

i fail to see how putting nuts to his mouth is passive-aggressive. this seems like a pretty confrontational act?

you need to win the arms race of non-household devices. you could build a cigar smoking machine, then have the 3 of you go on a camping trip while it burns through ~100 cigars in one of the bedrooms back to back. ideally, the construction of the machine would involve a lathe.
