Oh yeah, I'd forgotten about this. Norm going for the million dollar question on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

There's only one person happy that Norm's gone...

Spoiler:
...you guessed it, Frank Stallone!

Norm's set at the Saget roast is one of my all time favorite things.

Sad to see Norm drew in his battle with cancer.

Link to his video podcast. Favorite episodes are Stephen Merchant, Super Dave, Andy Dick, but they're all great

This one hit me a lot harder than other celebrity deaths. The thing about Norm is, you couldn't tell his jokes. Nobody could do the same delivery as Norm, and that is what made him so freaking hilarious. World got a lot less funnier for sure.

I spent all night watching clips of him. And I've seen him live several times. Tough loss

Loved Norm. Got to see him at the South Point a couple years ago. Great fun.

If anyone comes across the clip of the joke about the guy trying to revive his wife from a coma using a doctor's unconventional suggestion, please post it- thanks.

I just watched it last night. I'll try to find it again. I may have watched it ITT.

I saw someone say it, and it rang true: having the whole world saying, "Wait, what? I didn't even know he was sick" is actually a very apt final Norm MacDonald punchline.

Thank you for this. Been a hardcore fan since SNL and have seen him nearly ten times live and discovered his video podcast after it had started and didn't finish all of them before they were taken down prior to the Amazon version. The video podcast was probably as close to the true Norm than anything else as he had to sanitize his content anytime he went on network TV.

I thought he did a great job pivoting to a "cleaner" product for Amazon but still providing some really great moments. His willingness and capability to create very uncomfortable situations purely for comedy is so much better than anyone else. He was on a different level when it came to creating comedy.

The tributes that have come in have demonstrated the love and respect he had in the industry. It reminds me of when Neil Peart passed.

No idea when this was from, but fair to guess it was during his battle with cancer, and possibly later in the game. Seems like probably the closest he came to publicly hinting what he was going through.

Norm's OJ jokes were epic and he got fired for it

Quote:
After grisly photos of the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson were shown in court, O.J. turned his head away and wept. It was at that moment that he realized he would never be able to kill her again.
Quote:
In a sworn deposition this week, O.J. Simpson claimed that he never beat, choked, or hit his ex-wife with a closed or open fist. Luckily for O.J., lawyers forgot to ask if he had ever cut her head off.

He makes the ramble work for sure ... but the one was something about golfing on the moon, I remember now. I didn't even get it at the time and didn't want to admit it. LOL

Norm hosting the Espys in the late 90's was an alltimer. Some of the most uncomfortably hilarious lines I've ever watched. I vividly remember Ken Griffey Jr in the audience looking horrified a couple different times during the monologue. Was great!

Someone in another thread mentioned that Norm was a poker player and commentator; I never knew anything about that. Would love to hear any stories about Norm and poker, especially if anyone played with him.

He is the sole commentator of High Stakes Poker season 7. I enjoyed it.

He also played on Poker After Dark in the last few years.
