At the recommendation of this thread, I got all of J. Cole's mixtapes (The Come Up, Warm up to the Warm Up, and The Warm Up; got American Dreamin' too, but it only has 2 songs that aren't on the others).

I'm really impressed. I'm not necessarily saying he's the next big thing (commercially or critically), but I know that I've been listening to almost nothing but J. Cole for the last 3 days.

Can't Cry, Dead Presidents, Show Me Somethin', and Can I Live are probably my top 5 with Lights Please (which took me a bit to get into).

re: wale's cd, it was fairly good I'm surprised http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=15qHK06q7zA wasn't on it (my favorite wale song) but either way it's definitely solid. if he stays on pace with what he's been doing he'll probably go down as one of the better rappers of the decade
