Crazy to think that Fat Joey Crack was the central up and coming rapper before Biggie took over. This was before hip hop was making alot of money. Rappers are still deathly afraid of him and his street network. After BIG blew alot of people were copying his style etc. So many easter eggs in this one including a early teen NAS. You can taste the era in this one. Happy Turkey Day
A fan from the start, Lil B was ahead of his time. I could write an essay on his impact on hip hop thought. Lil b made a point of not making a lyrical but an emotional bond with his listeners. Part of rap group The Pack at a young age, Lil b was a student of hip-hop / rap who came forth independently as an outside the box artist who took common Hip Hop tropes and turned them into memes. People would rip on him for his lack of lyrical prowess (Lil b can Rap) and his flirtation with homosexual innuendos, while missing the point of his art. Existentially you could see the point he was making... this world, reality, and ideals are constructed and a genuine connection can be made outside of these seemingly silly constructs as long as a the transcendent spirit is there. Had a ton of haters but is generally considered a living legend who has noticeably influenced at least 3 rappers that ive posted previously. Based for life ; BTCH Mob Task Force reporting in
Another good vibe video... Loved Soulja Boy and Lil B together. Souja is a sociopath who has a great ear for new things and will rip off any young up coming rapper for swag but Lil b was able to maintain his creative capital after escaping Soulja influence
Hope this guy gets out of Jail sometime soon lol. Unique melodic flow and was something for NY to get excited about for about a year and 1/2. Will prob never get back to his early energy but he truly didn't make a bad song imo.
B Gizzle all day. Cash Money era was huge even in the midwest. I had all the Cash Money Record CDs and all the No Limit ones. Lots of garbage, but lots of gold! I was deff too young to be listening to this stuff. 3 6 Mafia is the tear the club up thugs
