Yeah, it seems they dicked up Kanye and Rihanna's releases pretty badly

I have no idea what to make of TLOP yet. At all. Its certainly interesting, and a few songs are definitely really good. But as a whole, I have no clue at the moment. This one could take awhile to figure out.

Well it seems Kanye doesn't either, apparently the reason it's Tidal only for now is that he's changing stuff, then he said it'll never be for sale. If his insanity means we get a quality version of Wolves with Sia and Vic Mensa then I'm all for it

Man I bet those people who hated Beyonce's Superbowl appearance loved Kendrick's Grammy performance!

Hate to triple post but CEO of TDE confirmed Jay Rock was in a motorcycle accident, and apparently it's pretty bad

And a more credible source says he should be ok, enough Twitter for me

Haha, I love how in "Highlights" there's a subtle echo that you pretty much only hear with headphones that says "dumb b*tch" right after "Only problem is I'm rich" during the Ray J verse.

I think Pitchfork nailed Pablo in their review, as an album it does feel a bit rushed and it's the first Kanye album in ages where he doesn't shake up the whole genre, but the songs are still really ****ing great.

Also, Kanye's twitter has been pretty epic of late in case you aren't following it.

yeah it's already grown on me tbh, holding off on judgment until i've given it some more focused listens. definitely some really good songs on here

unrelated, the dude with the weird voice from i'm up, ralo, has a pretty good tape: http://www.livemixtapes.com/mixtapes...e-streets.html

features from future, thug, quan, glizzy

Surprised how good the album is considering how bad a lot of the lyrics are. A lot of it sounds like placeholder lyrics that never got rewritten.

In general it sounds like he started making three different albums and then stuck together different bits of them and threw it out. Some reviewers are like 'oh it's reflective of Kanye's fractured psyche blah blah' which I don't buy at all, it's just messy. Still a lot of good songs though.

Also surprised people aren't talking more about Ultra Light Beams, incredible song, makes up for whatever stupid **** he does or says elsewhere on its own imo. Really would like to see Kanye take up a producer/mentor role with Chance and turn him into a superstar like Dre did Kendrick on GKMC.

and I've had the choir coming in stuck in my head for a good long while. whenever it's quiet, all I can hear is, "WE ON AN ULTRA LIGHT BEAM, THIS IS A GOD'S DREAM"

ULB made me revisit Chance (who i was not a huge fan of). still not a huge fan of Acid Rap but he killed it on ULB.

Having listened to nothing except it for the past 3-4 days I'm still not sure. I ****ing love some tracks (Ultra Light Beam, FAMOUS, FML, No Real Parties) but there's some really boring/pointless intermissions (Low Lights, Silver Surfer). And songs that could be really good but have some parts which are just broken/bad. I hate Freestyle 4. Wolves beat is clearly broken at one point (hopefully it's what he's fixing) and why is the Frank Ocean part even there? 30 Hours is 2 minutes too long and you get Andre 3000 in the studio and give him two words?!? Probably didn't want to sing a verse but still, what a tease. Can't believe the album got delayed by Waves - super average, generic, boring song, which is a Chris Brown song really, and as all over the place as the album already is it has no place on it. The opening of Facts with that Father's Children sample is so sick and then just goes downhill.

Man there's a lot of hate up there but like I said I really really love some of these songs. Like I think I put Famous in my top few Kanye tracks ever first time I heard it and that hasn't changed, but album as a whole I dunno.

Signed up for tidal to give it a listen, so going to pry be a cheapskate and cancel before my 30 day free trial expires.

Anything else I should listen to on tidal that is not available elsewhere?

Much better version of Wolves, although still has that bizarre broken beat moment. Guess it was intentional :\

Also Kanye tweeted that he's been working with Drake and Future and they're about to drop even more gold.
