Was waiting for this track to drop. "Love Game" Em and Kendrick. Gotty hits the nail on the head here and I was lol at the comments section.
I cannot believe this is what Eminem has come to. It felt like one of those youtube videos where the actual song has been removed and replaced by a wack track due to copyright infringement or whatever. I wasn't planning on buying or even listening to his album all the way through, however, I still expected a better perfomance than this. RIP Shady
It should also be noted that I cannot even believe Kendrick agreed to be on this abomination.
I think it's one of the funner songs on the record. Both of their wordplay is outstanding.
Also disagree with the reviewer's POV. I prefer when an artist evolves. Em is touching on some the same subjects he did before, but at least he's doing something interesting with them.
Lyrics don't matter tho when the beat is so wack that you can't focus on them. Might as well went the Pusha route and used a "Nostalgia" or "Numbers on the Boards" simplistic type beat if he wanted to showcase the lyrics.
Just listened to the Curren$y EP I posted. **** is on point. As per usual I think the song with K.R.I.T. on the hook is the one I enjoy the most. I'm also really glad they decided to only do 4 solid tracks instead of inserting all that filler.

harry fraud filler tracks that aren't good enough for an EP would probably massively improve the quality of eminem's album
I definitely agree with that. I'm pretty much a fan of anything Fraud touches. Too "underground" to produce for Em though and the labels wouldn't touch it. The mass media doesn't respect the art of the producer anymore.
New Em is miles better than last two CDs. Better than Encore, and not far behind TES. I think I will rate it slightly higher once I get a lot of the references.

Love all the call backs.
the space between MMLP2 and the Eminem Show is much larger than MMLP2 and Recovery/Relapse
Upon multiple listens, I still don't know what to grade it. But there is the feeling of an announcement or a promise towards the end of "Bad Guy" that never delivers. I can't put my finger on it and don't really think I can explain it anyways. It put me in a mood and gave me an expectation that I didn't get. Not in the quality of the record, but in what I thought I was going to experience.
Kendrick's and Kanye's latest records set something in motion from their first tracks. Kendrick's being a story and Kanye's being kind of an experiment all felt right throughout the albums. But this one starts out with a similar feeling, then turns into a bunch of separate ideas. I love those ideas, but was hoping for something different.
