Not the biggest OF fan at all, but I love this song. It came out a few months ago but I just heard it recently.

word @ the above post. I dig slaughterhouse, absolutely love Budden, and Joell is real ill too. I thought both the new mixtape and the album were not so good...

Slaughterhouse dropped the ball not getting "Get Up" on Madden 13 too. Prototypical Madden song that would've exposed them to millions that would've never heard them.

This is all coming from a Joe Budden/Slaughterhouse fanatic. They should've used Park It Sideways, Rescue Me and Frat House as singles. Also should have put Juggernauts on the album. Put Eminem on Rescue Me or Park It Sideways and you would see some serious radio play for the group. They really dropped the ball.

Oh and Joell Ortiz was hot garbage on over half the songs. His punch lines were cringe worthy.
I don't mind Throw it away, but Throw That does suck.

A$AP Mob's Mixtape is soooo good. YNRE, Full Metal Jacket, Jay Reed, Choppas on Deck are all bangers.

A pretty good ranking of top 21 songs with Kanye features. I would argue that a few glaring misses(American Boy-Estelle, Put on- Young Jeezy, Run This Town- Jay z, and Maker Her Say- Cudi)

I completely recognize that he is in fact not flipping keys or moving birds, that he is in fact not a made guy, and is not the boss of a mafia-style Miami drug-running gang with ties to Hatian hitmen but I happen to like trap beats and drug & violence lyrics and Ross provides this.

Or as Ross says in Ashamed, "who am I for you to criticize?"
pretty much sums up what i think and was trying to say if i had taken longer.

its jsut theres such a stigma about lying in rap music that it does kind of make it unbearable.

then again ross is way better for hip-hop than YMCMB.

ill mention again, lloyd banks v6, opinions people? lyrically i dont think theres anyone else on banks level atm, i think meek comes close but banks is more originial, the topics he touches set him aside from everyone else and what they're doing right now.

i think also because banks is signed to EMI and not a label like interscope/mmg/ymcmb, he doesn't have to follow the image, like you can note similarities between ross/meek mill because there part of mmg. kinda puts a hold on how far they can go creatively.

same with DMX, more independant roles gives them more freedom to do what they want with the tracks they make.

Banks is straight fire. I think Cold Corner 2 > V6, but I really love both mixtapes and they get a TON of play time on my iPod, especially when I'm grinding poker. Make It Stack on CC2 is one of ASAP's best verses, and the beat is pretty nuts too. Lloyd is one of my top 10 favorite rappers for sure.

yea i havent listened to too much asap, but i defeinitely think his verse on make it stack was the best i've heard.

i think CC2 was broader/more variety than v6, probs not as good lyrically but i think beat selection/production was better.

'aight' just aite, whaaaaaaaat? banks is insane, hes the only artist that that u have to listen to over to fully understand what hes saying. everyone else is so simple lyrically.

+1 to everyone sounding the same tho, basically why i literally never listen to new artists.

people like crooked I/slaughterhouse/meek mill/banks/dmx/fabolous/schoolboy Q manage to seperate themselves though imo.

Has Banks improved significantly in the last 5 years or something? Cos last time I heard him he had a boring flow with simple lyrics

Haven't downloaded it yet but is the Slaughterhouse album as mainstream/terrible as I fear it is?

No. Majority of the songs are really good. You'll be able to pick out the ones they made for commercial appeal just by listening to it once.
