So J. Cole is going to join Saigon in never releasing an actual album huh?

Why is J Cole going to be in album purgatory? Doesn't he have Jay Z backing him?

That's really just my pessimism talking. Just the pace so far and it seems like he keeps getting added to new tour rosters all the time. Here's to hoping otherwise, though

Oh I gotcha...I was a little worried, it would be a travesty if J Cole ended up suffering the same fate as Saigon.

old skool = 80s + v early 90s, lots of heavy beats and simple MC shouting a la run dmc

nu skool = pretty much the 90s, more complex narrative rhymes, more varied musical arrangements etc. a la a tribe called quest

shyne = neither

im old/ 31, so for me old school is boogie down productions, erik b rakim, epmd , big daddy kane, kool g rap, 3rd bass etc

i kinda got out of hip hop in the last 10-12 years, the only thing that kept me thru the 2000's was mf doom, madlib/quas, non phixion, staitik selektah mix cd's

the best years were 93-96 tho for me, tons of classic ish that is still good to listen to , mobb infamous, first nas, jeru , gang starr

that was the nu skool bro, the second golden age of hip-hop, much better than the first, and way better than anything that's ever come since.

ppl nowadays listen to some right sh*t and just don't realise the quality that was about in the 90s.
