ya its alright, i know its not for everybody, he's not real lyrical and i can see why people don't like it but i like some gutta music once in a while

Aceyalone - a very good lyricist LA underground MC any one of his albums are excellent
Del the funkee homosapien- his first two albums were excellent his concept album with producer Dan the automator is an excellent album and here are some other artists that you might want to check out

I was just listening to Mos Def's "Black on Both Sides". Honestly, if you have never heard this CD, you are missing out big time. If you don't like this CD, I think you have horrible taste in music. That is all.

kinda surprised that no one has mentioned "No One Can Do It Better" by the D.O.C. this is a classic album with great g-funk beats but more of an east coast feel lyrically.

i've been listening to a lot of M.O.P. lately, Ghetto Warfare and Firing Squad are both great east coast hardcore records

god, weezy is just so good. i didn't bother lookin through this thread but he is easily one of my favorite rappers, probably the only rapper i listen to. i'm not all hardcore into it but hes probably one of the only guys in rap i seriously put effort into finding all his stuff.

Cam is mostly terrible NOW, but he has some real LOL-worthy verses and his pre-Dipset days he was pretty fiyah

I feel like Wayne is putting out some really terrible **** to cash in on his new found popularity since the mixtapes....and for some reason, I"m sure Birdman is behind this ****, pressing him to make wack or mediocre songs for easy sales on ITunes. Don't get me wrong, I love the flow, but if he stepped up his rapping to Tha Carter I like levels...whoo.

Lollipop, for example, is complete garbage.
Compare it to the "Walk In"/"Inside"/"Walk Out" trio in the Carter

Wayne is terrible and is definitely the most overrated rapper ever. He has 1 good song for every 326376 garbage ones, but it just so happens that said 1 good song is absolutely insane. Best Rapper Alive, Get High Screw The World, Upgrade U, etc. are all very, very good. The rest of his **** is terrible and it sounds like he doesn't even try. Not to sound preachy, but the state of hip hop is in such sad shape that people go ape **** when someone says something as corny as "I'm so high I could eat a star!"

Wayne sucks. and wtf does "I'm well respected like a bear claw" mean?
