I don’t think that’s my motivation. Life is just more fun this way. I may well curse the dude that broke my phone when I’m buying a new one and transferring data.

It’s just the way you described your day at the Gay Pride, so cheerful and optimistic.

I go through a pair of workboots a year. About $100 a pop.

In fact, I just got my yearly replacement! Steel toe, water resistant. Old ones get worn right at the bottom of the laces, where the toe creases, and I start getting water and stuff in my boots.

Rdh,

I know a lot of boots look like this, but

HT,

Nice job representing us Americans.

If it wasn't for the bare feet thing, Howard would make a great ambassador

Chop, you need to get this guy to stop using your avatar or you put all your 2p2 cred at risk by association. Words cannot describe how weird he is. I've lost a ton of respect for you already.

Ya all know that i am perfectly fine with seeing and showing bare feet. My line is walking in the street. It hurts and feet get like seriously dirty. Here are the feet I saw at a train station today. I couldn't well go over and ask her for a picture of her feet. Hence so small and not really well visible how dirty they were. Some kind of object separating my sole from direct contact with street is nice.

Randomly saw OBAMA last night while walking the dog on vacation on Martha's Vineyard. He was leaving a restaurant and it was a madhouse.

Not usually starstruck in general, but something about seeing a POTUS. I've seen two now, the other being George HW Bush when I was working at World Trade Center Boston in college.

Martha's Vineyard? Didn't know you were ballin' like that 27.

Did you also visit CHAPPAQUIDDICK?

Not really a balla, MV is at the top of our vacation range.

Chappy is too laid back for me, I like to be in the mix.

After the gym, my wife was driving home. 2 guys cross the street illegally and both get into their respective cars. She initially slows down then speeds up normally and one of the two guys swings his door pretty wide and she hits his car door with her side mirrors. She stops for a second. I'm upset because I'm confused why she tried to go near the guy while he was opening his door. She's obviously upset with me for being upset. We get home. I'm in the shower and she's like "should I call the cops on myself." I told her I wasn't sure what to do but probably wouldn't call the cops. She went back to the spot and both guys are gone. What would you do OOT? We live in Philly where it takes a lot for the cops to come after you for something so trivial. I don't think the guy got hurt nor his car was damaged but IDK. She's freaking out.
08-07-2018 , 06:27 PM
you're fine

however, I think you need to work more on your story. it doesn't explain why she didn't stop after hitting guy #1's car and the guy #2 doesn't fit the narrative at all
08-07-2018 , 06:31 PM
2 guys cross the street. both get into their respective cars. she slows down for both of them. first guy opens their door and she doesn't hit their car. second guy opens his car out a little more and she hits his door slightly with her side mirror. she slows down for a second in front of a parking lot entrance. i tell her she needs to be more careful around pedestrians since they don't pay attention. we fix the mirror and she heads home. she doesn't deal well when i raise my voice which I don't see the problem with in this situation. we got lucky that the guy didn't get hurt. but she definitely could have hurt someone in a similar situation.

The number of times I have been a passenger in a vehicle driven by my wife when I wasn't either A) under the influence or B) medically incapacitated (it was acute appendicitis) is approximately zero.

Definitely should have stopped to make sure all was OK. If one of the guy's cars was damaged and he got her license plate number it will not be great that she left. I'm not even 100% sure it was her fault, but leaving looks bad.

In closing, apologize to your wife.

Obvious answer is:

Stop and make sure everyone is ok.

If damage was made to guy #2’s car offer to give him some money for the damage.

Write him a check.

Call your bank and put a stop payment on the check.

Laugh with your wife over a bottle of wine as that guy is now out the damages and the returned check fee *** Rage August the Machine - August LC Thread ***
