I think the super professional medical director showing up is even further proof of an international drug trafficking ring attempting to cover its tracks by putting the parent at ease via appearances.

Would ADD meds help me concentrate on work instead of 2+2? If so, anyone know any camp counselors?
08-02-2018 , 06:50 PM
LFS - how many pills were stolen and how does your daughter do without them? Those factors would affect my level of annoyance because I feel the refill pain.

I suppose the good news is that speed might make the counselors more focused on watching the kids? And not sleeping?

Man, **** like this kinda makes me happy I wasn't diagnosed until college, I feel for my future kids.

When I was at the WSOP, someone, probably the hotel maid, stole one of the two different blood pressure meds I take. The bottles were right next to each other on the desk. The stupid thing is, you can't get high off it and they cost about 4 bucks per bottle. Lucky for me I get them from Walmart and they did a refill for me at a nearby Vegas Walmart. More of a PITA than anything.

Oh, you probably meant the camp meds thing.

You watch the east coast game at 6, when it's over you watch the west coast game at 9.

I managed to get some Adderall back in my pill-popping days and it made me much more focused on browsing the internet and generally ****ing around.

Three pills taken, I only sent her with a week's worth. We have a little buffer prescription-wise, I don't actually think we'll need to mess with the doctor/insurance company to refill early.

The kids and meds issue is touchy for sure. To really discuss it re: my daughter would require a level of detail about her situation that wouldn't be appropriate imo.

That shot was a complete prayer and the Suns lost the game anyway. It’s a little like Bob Tway’s ridiculous chip shot at the 1986 PGA, except hat Tway won.

****, my source could dry up.

27o angling to make howard look bad in the op is lol

LFS - i'm bothered by a staff member willing to steal medicine from kids. a trivial material possession would be an 'oh well it happens' event.

How do we know it wasn’t kids whole stole the meds?
08-02-2018 , 08:41 PM
Did you read any of LFS' posts on this page?
08-02-2018 , 09:23 PM
Who’s LFS?

We heard of sixth graders snorting crushed up Xanax last year. It’s nuts out there.
08-02-2018 , 09:44 PM
I would press them a bit in LFS' spot. They caused a fairly serious inconvenience worthy of giving you a free pass or close to imo.

It wouldn't surprise me if this were true at Camp Rich Kids. Kids who are too poor for summer camp are probably like 3-5%.

Wow. Read more, post less. LFS is the father whose kid’s meds were stolen, and he wrote that the meds were checked in to the camp medical office, to which only camp employees have access.

akdsjfa;sd;lfaj alolbar locking the "closed" thread literally ONE minute before I was ready to post my sick sick .jpg in there

Clearly people are out for you Chop. Firstly I ruin your amazing joke by posting my inferior one and now Alobar deliberately closes that thread to spoil your fun. Conspiracy theorists will be discussing this in years to come for sure.

I will raise this topic in the next Skype group call.

Jesus people lighten up. There’s a non zero probability that some kid broke into the meds.
08-03-2018 , 07:06 AM
Very likely a kid took it imo. Doesn't exactly sound like Misson Impossible getting past the security measures, more than likely someone just forgot to lock something.

At first while reading it I was assuming she was at the camp for the entirety of summer and a camp counselor took at least a month's worth of pills from two kids, which could be quite a bit of money to someone working this kind of summer job. If we're talking 3 pills from two kids though... did a counselor really need an adhd meds fix that badly? I find it unlikely.

I would just let this go, there's bound to be mistakes like this when a camp is watching kids this age. (I don't know how old she is, but I would think this of any age where summer camp is a thing.) Not to mention the mistake was probably made someone who is also very young.
08-03-2018 , 07:20 AM
Adult needing a small drug fix far more likely than a child.
08-03-2018 , 08:06 AM
Fwiw im not trying to argue that a kid taking it is more likely, just that it is a very real possibility, especially depending on the ages at the camp.
08-03-2018 , 08:19 AM
I remember me as 11y.o in a pioneer camp. All centralized distribution of meds and food, all locks, all hiding of anything from us was such a lol, when faced about 2 thousand curious, full of initiative and completely devoid of any fear teenagers.

And I still wonder.... I mean bunch of your have a line " What stupid situation, how could they, what neglect of proper care...." But no one, including LFS, didn't formulate precise expectation, what should camp do? What exactly do you expect?
