That sounds like my experience with almost every other recreational drug.

But when I first tried coke decades ago my experience was so good that it scared me. So much so that I never wanted to use it again.

Just so there are no surprise I fully intend to take up crack smoking in my 80's. Refined crack smoking though. I fully endorse 400 dollar crack pipes.

jmakin, based on the little I know of you and the enormous amount I've heard about cocaine, I really think you should stay far away from it.

For all the drugs I've done and liquor I've drank, I never did cocaine. The main reason:

there's a lot going on in high level hearts - and it's a super fun game to gamble with at parties. unfortunately hardly anyone under the age of 40 knows how to play it.

I don't really have the same problems I used to with substances. I steer away from painkillers, because that's the #1 thing I can't say no to and I know if I were to use them I can't really stop. I drink an unhealthy amount, but honestly, if I were offered coke again I'd probably decline it.

It kinda sobered me up immediately (i'd had about 4 beers) and I felt extremely awkward and kinda sedated after the initial rush. I promptly passed out after an hour.

I don't know what the street price is but I know it's crazy high. I'd never buy cocaine when I can get a few grams of weed and that lasts me like a month or more.

Also, I am not looking forward to the inevitable sinus infection. I have really bad sinuses and even trimming my nosehairs in a bad way can trigger one. I've had 2 this year already. I just know I'm getting sick in a week. Not really worth it.

A few grams of weed lasts you a month? That's impressive lol.
