chop,

I'm awfully tolerant of other people's shenanigans and generally a pushover as a customer/consumer, but I'd be out of there immediately and asking for my money back.

Because of the naked hoes wandering around or because of them trying to get into your room?

@ chop
I would be VERY cautious with using anything that they might have touched without a proper disinfection. Few stds are transmittable with plain contact without anything sexual.

Either reason alone would be enough.

Patience, oT, patience. In a few decades Keith Richards will be the oldest human on the entire planet--a title he will hold for many, many years.

RIP Aretha

If anyone deserves their own thread it's Aretha.

Yeah all three of the fifty year old women on this site would love that thread.

You still outta sorts because Lapka decided you were a douche after all DrZ? Aww nm I'm sure you'll win someone else over with your charm and allure.

I would in the past tease this line of thought (even if said in jest) but then Trump happened so by all means declare being correct/right at every opportunity

Zangief,
How does it feel to live with the knowledge that ~95% of people could flip a switch and effortlessly peddle your act if they chose to?

OOT,
Had a heated argument pop up tonight during an Uno game. My son accused my daughter of drawing cards even though she (in his mind) already had a playable card. Without looking up the rules, do you have a strong belief about whether you're allowed to draw extra cards even if you could play one from your hand?

Spoiler:
I've definitely drawn cards even though I've been able to play, either because I didn't want to waste a critical Draw 4 card or because I wanted to draw a good wild card.

I thought the rule would be either:
- If you have a playable card, you have to play it.
- You can draw as many cards as you want, even if you have a playable card

It turns out the rule is that you CAN draw even if you have a playable card. And if you draw a playable card, play it. If not, it's the next player's turn; you never draw more than one card. You can't draw a non-playable card and then play a pre-existing playable card from your hand.

I think this rule is good. And the whole "only draw one card" rule definitely results in shorter games than the "draw until you get a card you can play" rule that I always used.

I was definitely under the belief that you had to play if you had a playable card.

Ahh uno. What a game. I had a good friend absolutely lose it when I played a draw 4 card and he had to draw 16. I initially thought he was just putting on a good performance and was laughing along with it but then he disappeared and didn't come back and his gf had to embarrassingly explain he was actually pissed off lol. That was a shortish cards night. Monopoly and pictionary are other games I've seen people totally lose it on. Especially with couples playing pictionary

In regards to the question, how I play is you can draw one card and then use that card if playable but not the one you're already holding. I once played with some people who had a stupid rule that you could just keep drawing cards. That was really annoying

I have also played it this way. Either way doesn't bother me as long as everyone is on board from the start. Multiple card drawing I really disliked though.

Rexx,
Explain please.

You know when people repeatedly put down the draw 4 card until the ultimate draw 16 arrives. It's uno nirvana.

I love playing with stackable drawing.

This may be the mania but Im pretty sure Id scrape you donkeys at the uno

Here in the Midwest, family units at holidays often play a game called Euchre. It’s a 2v2 trick taking game played with a pinochle deck. Rexx are there any specifically Aussie card games?

Actually idk if it’s a pinochle deck. 9’s and above, two 6’s and two 4’s for keeping score.

Whoa, I've never heard of this stackable drawing, but it sounds pretty awesome.

Also, I didn't realize that you're not allowed to play a draw 4 card if you have a color matching card in your hand.

Here in Canada we also play euchre

We played Pisoy Dos? Thats phonetic. I actually forgot how to play I think. Fun game

I learned euchre when I lived in Washington. Upon moving to Indiana I definitely encountered the belief that it's Midwest-specific, but I don't think it is.
