I have to agree with the fact that they are the best band of our generation. Coincidentally I am listening to "how to disappear completely" live on youtube and it is the guy above me's avatar ^ is from the same performance. I have not heard their new album yet but I am excited to.

Kind of a ridiculous standard imo. It's almost impossible now to make a record mostly bought buy 12 year old girls that also radically pushes artistic boundaries.

At first the new album baffled me. I think In Rainbows is right behind OK Computer as their best and this is very different and kind of jolting. But over time it grew on me and after about 3 listens I loved it. Tracks 1,5,6, and 8 are all great.

Can we talk about the horrible state of music we're currently in?

I got tix for one of the shows at the Shrine Auditorium in LA. Less than 7k capacity. Pretty damn excited.

I really dig AMSP after two listens. It's dark and really mellow, but arguably their most accessible album. And probably their last.

? Music today is good imo, has been for quite a while now.

At least we don't have ****ty bands like Radiohead getting airplay any more which helps

Based on their first 3 albums, they coulda been contendahs. They lost the thread a little with the electronica bull**** tho, too bad. Great rock bands feature guitars as a rule, yo.

They had a good run tho, the Radiohead. OK Computer and The Bends are up there with the very greatest rock albums. Even some of their blippy-bloppy electronica stuff is pretty good.

I suspect they probably have depressive mental problems tbh. There's not much joy in there post-2000.

I assume you haven't hear the new album? Plenty of live instruments, more than on any recent record. There's even a guitar solo!

Those of you who voted yes ~6 years ago, now that you are adults has your opinion changed.

It's nothing like The Bends/OK Computer, though, if that's what he's looking for.

I never was able to get into Rainbows or King of Limbs, but this album is ****ing fantastic. Like, really, really good, and also in a really specific Radiohead way. It's both more accessible than anything they've done in years and really rich for diehard fans.

I hope I come across like I'm gushing, because I am. Great album, and I'm at the point in my life where I don't care about music like I did when I was 18.

Latest Berlin gig, 130 minutes. Not bad for a festival slot. This will be taken down soon though (9/22).
Should be available from some European countries, otherwise I'd imagine VPN works well with ARTE?

The greatest band of our time by quite a distance imo. 5 geniuses who grew up together, and been together for 25 years. My rock playlist is 90% Radiohead and 10% one hit wonders by weaker bands.

Weird Fishes
Letdown
All that I need

Ok computer
The Bends
In Rainbows

one of my favorite bands ever...but not the best. That's Pearl Jam, obviously.

To be fair, Pearl Jam is one of the 29420 bands that are better than Radiohead

Just stop because you obviously don't know what you're talking about. Lol pearl jam > Radiohead and the other 29419 bands.

Green Day and Muse > Radiohead as well, amirite.
