I think this is a bit of **** comment just listening to their last record, which was no where near their best, the range of tracks, was very innovative imo. I concede maybe not to the same extent to some of their earlier stuff like Blood Sugar and One Hot Minute but still i think credit should be given where it is due. Just contrast 'Wet Sand', 'Storm in a Teacup', 'Hump de Bump' and 'Hey' imo that constitutes shying away from the 'generic rock forumla' for me.
NB: I don't think RCHP are neccessarily best band of our time, but should indeed be considered.
