We were thinking, "not too outrageous for SF", but it's not in SF, and at the end of the day, a sausage in a bun is $16. They do have a really good beer selection.

I figure I'm a little outside the demographic to be taking pics of everything I eat, plus there's 500+ pics on yelp.

I'll take a series of pics if we go to omakase or if something unusual looking comes out. Here's the pin bone steak from Cockscomb:

IIRC the 2017 winner was found to have used photos that weren't of her so Ana de Armas stayed on for a second year.

twoplustwo history question: who was the poster who prop bet $10,000 that he could get unsolicited offers of money from at least five random posters, with whatever stipulations and restrictions his opponent could think of? He ended up winning by creating great photoshops.

Dr. Spaceman? That's who I think of when I think of photoshopping.

That seems too interesting for me to have never heard of it.

I sent you a small package from Dar es Salaam in June but I'm guessing it got confiscated/stolen by the postal service. None of the things I sent that week made it to anyone so I guess I can ruin the fake surprise now.

de cap didn't get his, either.

Never got it ... home or work?

Managed to cut my fingers up pretty well with the hedge trimmer yesterday. Feeling pretty stupid ATM as I type with pretty much only one finger on my left hand.

Work. It was one of those Tanzanian coins with the rhino and the little bird on its back. I sent it after you complained about not being able to see the bird or whatever it was you complained about when I posted the image before.

Sent de cap a sailfish coin. Never arrived.

Sent another friend a rabbit coin. Never arrived. That one is really irritating because I painstakingly wrote an awesome note in Kanji*.

Guessing the metal detector at the Dar post office spoiled things and they all got confiscated, or random postal employee decided fu USA#1 since there were a couple without anything metal in them that never made it, either.

* your note was just something like "CAN YOU SEE ME NOW MOTHER****ER?!!?! - the bird"

Did you sail to Djibouti fighting your way through Somali pirates?

Yep, didn’t get here. Must have been swallowed up by the bureaucracy.

That's a cardinal offense.

Not Dr. Spaceman. He was an older guy who planed some live events and was rumored to have been dating a WNBA player. It must have been between 2007 and 2011. I remember some of the photoshops were of the Grand Theft Auto cover style. Maybe it was in BBV?

I'd like to find the thread to see exactly how the bet was worded, and the 80+ list of stipulations. There was also a proviso that they could run the bet again, with any additional stipulations the opponent could think of added on.

Awesome thanks!

Can't imagine thinking of anyone other than admo for the venn diagram overlap of photoshops and epic prop bets.
09-14-2018 , 04:56 PM
True. But linking the threads is a greGoriOAT specialty.

Let's say that you are staying in a motel for an extended stay. A month. You have two weeks left.

Another room (they've been here about a week) is a couple with a kid. Early 30s I'd guess. With a kid < 2 years old. They leave the baby unattended for several hours 2-3 while they go to the bar at night.

What do you do?

Call child protective services?

Confront the couple? They don't seem like the nicest people.

Front desk?

Nothing?

Something I'm missing?

Pull the fire alarm and let the cops handle it.
