LFS,

I wish my dog would stay still for the camera. he is quite good looking but very camera shy and not terribly photogenic, unless you get a pic of him unaware or he is at the beach or something.

Action photos are more than OK! Roxie is just especially easy to photograph because she spends so much of her time staring hopefully/expectantly/quizzically/mournfully at me.

Got a panicked call from a family friend this morning whose dog had just gone into labour, so I went over to 'help' for a bit (i.e. not get in the way).

Two down, six or more to go! Hopefully I'll be taking one when they're a little older.

Up to four of them now!

Considering it's taken 10hrs so far, and the vet said there are 8-10, it could be a long night.

Have to feed them every 2hrs by hand too, as the mother isn't too keen on the whole thing at the moment.

This is the first dog that I remember my family having as I was growing up. His name was Pinto, he was whiter but the same pattern of spots. I would call him Houdini because he would get out of our backyard literally EVERY single night and go for joyrides around the neighborhood. He made friends with all the other neighborhood dogs and we would get complaints from the neighbors that he was in their yards or would help their dogs get out too lol.

His excursions caused him to get hit by a car about 5 times before he finally "ran away" one night and never came home. At least that was the story, until about 6 months ago when my dad finally let it spill that he hadn't run away at all! Actually, my dad took him to this farm where he drove by one day and saw 4 other dogs of the same breed roaming around. He figured Pinto deserved a life of happiness on the farm as opposed to being locked up in a yard in the city.

Anyway, this is our dog now. Her name is Maiko, like the shark since we got her in San Jose, love the San Jose Sharks, and she's grey with a white belly like a shark. She's a bluenose pit bull and she's 9 years old now. She's the sweetest thing really. She was the runt, so she stayed pretty small, roughly about 60 pounds.

Almost 24hrs later, and we're done! Eight of them.

There were nine, but sadly one died in the night. The mother still doesn't give a crap, so they are being syringe feed every couple of hours.

Such cute. Excellent job color-coding them.

I'd really like to see a pic of them being syringe-fed.

While we wait for his pictures, here's a couple I took a year ago when my wife and I went to a pet adoption event.

Haha yeh it's pretty much exactly that. Basically pretty messy. They are blind and (I think) deaf for a couple weeks, as they're still developing, so are pretty useless. They just squirm around and make whining noises. The mother was quite young so is rather bemused by the whole thing. They're hoping she'll let them latch on at some point.
