Great thread. Here is Utley. We adopted him in 2008, the year the Phillies won the World Series. We think he is a mix of Black Lab and Newfoundland but not entirely sure. Absolutely great personality.
He loves the snow.
This was when we got him, he's since grown to about 100lbs.
And this is when I was breaking the news to him that his namesake had been traded off the Phillies.

Sleeping on his favorite blanket/slave like nothing ever happened.
Other than the shaved spots on his legs (from the IV) and the fact his balance isn't perfect, it's like nothing happened. Maybe he's sleeping a bit more but with a cat who can tell. He's still the affectionate little boy he's always been.

Awesome news RJ. My cat had some weird condition where she started walking weird, couple of days later had no use of her back legs. Quickly progressed all the way up and she could only just lay there and move her head. Absolutely broke my heart and thought for sure they would have to put her down. But, now she's like nothing ever happened, and does stuff like this:

It is so deep in human nature to find pets cute. I love every picture in this thread. It would be a lot more difficult to make a thread with human pictures, that are all sooooooo
