That's actually Titus.
Mixture of confusion of how he got into that maze and sadness that he has temporarily lost sight of the fast moving light on the floor, walls, ceiling, etc that he has been chasing. I'm relieved yet disappointed that the sunlight only hits that spot about one hour/day to create that reflection.

Just trying to learn how to post images, this seemed like a good place to try...

It's infuriating for someone who hasn't done these things on message boards in 10+ years. I'm wasting hours trying to figure it out and actually have important images I need to post. Can someone please walk me through it? Cute pet pictures will be posted here I promise.

Ok finally maybe I got this.

What a cutie! Pics came in fine. You can just paste them in now, or you can use tho old forum button technique.

Carnivore,
you see the spark in those eyes, right?
that dog is just measuring you up
don't let it fool you, stay on your toes
otherwise it will make you jump when you least expect it
if we saw the surprise coming then it wouldn't be, would it?

Thanks.

Have to lol at the 'you can just' start to your sentence. Anytime people are savvy in something and are talking to me about something I'm clueless at, they use phrases that start with 'you just...' because to them it is so simple meanwhile I spent 2 hours trying different things and getting error messages and searching on this site and on Google for instructions that would work until finally I stumbled upon what worked through trial and error.

I feel your pain. But the new owners added a function where you can copy a picture and then click in your reply and when the menu opens, hit "paste" (or hit the Ctrl button and the V button at the same time. It's much easier than the old method.

Except the new method doesn't work for some people. I can't even use the old way now.

he's had TPL surgery on both back legs, the most recent five years ago, the oldest seven. not surprisingly arthritis has taken over and he's prone to falling down, hence the harness. you can tell by his crooked stance from behind

my apologies for the drastic change in lighting
i've never scheduled a death appointment before, but we have one on friday
he told us he's ready, and we agree

Damn, RED. I'm so sorry to hear that.
Never had to schedule an appt, but I've had a couple of tough emergency visits. Still not over one from 20+ years ago.

Make the most of the time you guys have left!

god damn Red, sorry to hear it. I'm sure Mose has loved you every step of the way and has had a great life. Thinking of you at this somber time.

That really sucks Red. I scheduled my girl's appointment. Had them come to the house, which makes it a little better, if not any easier. Cooked her up a batch of chicken for her last meal. Getting all teary-eyed now.

Red, I am so sorry. Thanks for giving Mose such a great life and I'm sorry your time together has to come to an end.

Awesome pets should live forever.

Lost my little girl about six months ago. Currently dogless and it certainly leaves a big hole in your heart.

thank you all so much for the kind words
we do have someone coming to the house, and a few special meals are in the works
just trying everything we can to somehow make the next 30 hours a happy time for all of us

Red,

Sorry that you're going through that. Best wishes.

Like Tom said, the gold dog died on W.'s second inauguration day, so that long ago. Still not past it.

Probably going to run the gamut of feelings, but you'll be able to be look back with the knowledge that you did all you could do. Best wishes for Mose and all you guys.

Cool!

We have a red-eared slider about the same size I would guess. Got him when he was the size of a 50-cent piece nearly 20 years ago when son was young. They wanted to release him when son went away to college, but I vetoed that. He's kind of fun to have around, and I'm not sure he'd make it in the wild. And I wouldn't ever want to see a turtle in the road again--alive or dead--knowing that it might be JP.

Red, it is an amazing privilege to do what you're about to do. Hard as hell, but you'll be glad you did it for your Mose. I've done it a few times and know. Godspeed Mose!

Sorry to here that Red, just passed 7 months since I did the same for my guy. Knowing it’s the right choice doesn’t make it any easier. Grateful that you were able to schedule a home visit, definitely better that way. Hope all goes well.
