No tortoises here, but we do have a Red Eared Slider turtle that our kid left here when he went off to college several years ago. I was the lone vote for not releasing him into the wild, but I prevailed as I do have doubts that he would be able to survive. He's been here for 16 or 17 years now.

I don't think we have any pics of him unless my wife has some on her phone. I could take a pic now, but I don't think a pic of him in his aquarium that is due for a cleaning would do him justice. He's an entertaining little sumbitch though. Kicks up a fuss when one of us enters the room!

Love the tortoise and the cat pic above! Who wins in a race?

Our friend adopted him, but then had to move out of town, so we agreed to take him. Desert tortoises are protected in Nevada, and you can’t move them without permission.

We had to build a burrow for him lol.

He’s very social and scratches at the screen door when he wants to come inside. We feed him turtle mash and hibiscus flowers.

One more of Howard taking a dip in his pool…he’s got a fountain in it and everything. Tortoises drink with their mouths like everyone else, but they can also drink through their butts.

lol it's gotten a bit out of hand, but they are all sweet animals. I miss having a dog, but our place just isn't big enough right now...next house!

I feel bad for people who don't have pets. They're missing out on so much.
Especially vomit and poop.

lol 5 cats, not 8, plus George who is outside. The house is only 1900 sq. feet, so, yes, it's too small for a dog - for now.

We used to have 10 cats which was a trip as they were all indoor cats and we have a 1-story, 900sf house. Over the last few years sadly most of those have passed away and we're down to 3. Here's 2 of them, Penny and Linus.

awwww...nice kitties. Yeah, it's tough when they go. We had another cat, Gus, who died laying on my lap last year. He was 18 and the King of the House.
