I’m an old and haven’t posted a picture on here in like 8 years - what’s an app that I can use on my phone to host images? App Store searches just return meme generators and the like, which I don’t think is what I need.

The mail is CLEARLY not addressed to anyone at this address but my idiot fellow tenants keep bringing the mail inside.

This being OOT let me try to answer some of your questions before they are asked. The closest mailbox is 3/4 of a mile away and I do not drive and am not capable of standing or walking for long periods of time. I have family somewhat close, but don't really want to ask them to drive a 1/2 hour to 45 minutes out of their way for something that should be so simple.

Am I wrong in thinking that people should know how the ****ing mail works??? I think it was part of my 3rd grade education.
Since somebody obviously thinks they're being / intends to be helpful, could you ask one of your fellow tenants to send the mail?

Put all the mail in a big envelope obviously.

UD,

What type of mailbox is this?

Gonna need a picture of how this works. I can't see it.

Also, "important mail" and you've been trying for two weeks doing the same thing? I'd suggest it's not that important.

Umcle,

Do you know who is doing this? Do they share your mailbox or are going out of their way to do you a favor?

Sticky note if you don't know who it is. Talk to them if you do.

Why don't you just hand it to the mailman when he delivers the mail?

He's supposed to look out the window all day?

Maybe he should get a dog.

I was preparing my final exam last night and I had movies playing in the background. The two that I had on back to back were Cocktail and Top Gun, both classics obviously. A couple of things stood out:

- Tom Cruise had a real decline in hair quality from Top Gun to Cocktail. Really wish samjjones was still around to give his take on that. The only positive thing to say about his Cocktail hair was that it demonstrated real flexibility and willingness to take risks. Of note, Val Kilmer was #10 on the Hollywood Hair Hall Of Fame, which included this fine quote about his role in Top Gun:

Quote:
As the "Iceman", Val created perhaps the greatest single hair style in modern film history. Awesome. I've been told that just looking at Val in "Top Gun" has been known to cause women to spontaneously cream their pants.
- The upgrade in love interest from Top Gun to Cocktail is remarkable. Kelly McGillis as Charlie just gets destroyed by Elisabeth Shue, who I'm confident would have been at least a semifinalist in a hypothetical 1988 Ms. OOT. What's crazy to me is that McGillis is only 2 years older than Shue, and since Top Gun came 2 years before Cocktail, it means that they were roughly the same age in their respective movies.

She was still smoking in The Saint, a decade later.

Also, friendly reminder that Kelly McGillis was topless in Witness.

Peak Elizabeth Shue was like 7 years later in Leaving Las Vegas.

I have fond memories of McGillis and went to post a picture to show she should not be dismissed. Good lord, she did not age well.

The comparison of Cruise then to now with her then to now is startling.

Shue has aged extraordinarily well and is still wicked hot for her age. She is an example of how you want your wife aging.

An all-time Ms.OOT spanning the last 40-50 years or so would be way better than this 2018 Insta-thottery mess we have now.

McGillis looks like a 61yo woman. Cruise has kept in great shape sure, but also he's 56, dyes his hair and has had plastic surgery.

Speaking of aging well, Keanu Reeves is a vampire or something.

I watched John Wick streaming the other night. around the halfway point it started to buffer every 10 minutes or so for a few seconds. It was annoying that it was right when he was about to kill someone without fail.

We're none of us getting any younger, and her neck's gone a bit funny. But she was terrific in The House On Carroll Street, which is itself terrific. A rare film in which the heroine really is the heroine and not 'the girlfriend.'

oh please, I dunno if hes elderly or not, but it sounds like hes effectively like everyones elderly relatives that cant drive and are homebound, and every single one of them knows exactly what time the mail carrier arrives daily.

I do not remember that bit, although I do remember the equivalent bit in Witness (in which nothing actually happens, because the Harrison Ford character knows it wouldn't be a good idea, which kind of adds to whole omigod atmosphere).

Delivery to my house is not anything like a consistent time every day.

I've never seen the movie, just discovered it when i was double checking it was her in Witness.

She's in the tub, if that jogs your memory.
