I watched Back to the Future yesterday with my kiddies. After a few months of being mildly disappointed by the revisited greatest hits from my childhood, this time I was very pleasantly surprised how well it aged. Very good plot devices, continuity, and hit the suspense notes really well.

Sitting at the bar at Crux Fermentation Project. My lovely wife had been called away to a short-notice biz trip to Asia and, unrelatedly, LOVES this chocolate milk stout from Sunriver. I have driven up to Bend from California to load up on several cases of this beer and when she walks back in on Thursday, she will be presented with a Christmas miracle! I've been doing the same thing with my son (my daughter's attention span only allows her to cope with 10 min Youtube clips

). He loved Back to the Future as well. Wayne's World was another that scored highly.

Lowlight so far has been Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. I can't believe I remembered the film as funny. Maybe its because this time I wasn't high while watching it.

We also watched the Big Lebowski. He's 14 so I figured that's a good time to introduce him to the Dude. I was nervous he wouldn't get it, but when he cracked up at "Obviously you're not a golfer", I knew he would love it
