I don't think that's really true. I doubt the people here who scrupulously avoid talking politics skew Republican or weirdo. The people who can't tell when they're making hot political takes obviously skew a certain way.

DIVERSITY: submit an EQUAL amount of ALL ETHNICITIES requested - don't submit MOSTLY white people.

For all of these roles, the people cast will need to look like REAL PEOPLE, who are in GOOD SHAPE, (as per their specific sport,) but who look INTERESTING and like the TYPE of people that this director casts.
That is, a little more unique, NOT MODELS, but that doesn't mean these people cannot be attractive. I guess the best description would be AUTHENTIC -- we believe that they are who they are portraying themselves to be. And they are a little more on the cultural cutting edge... NOT at all COMMERCIAL LOOKING ... if anything, these people would be more theatrical looking. That is, a guy mountain biking on a remote forest trail, but who looks like a NYC bicycle messenger, with that kind of interesting swagger, would be a step in the right direction.
Interesting, ECLECTIC, real people types.
Likewise, we do not want to cast people who are obviously too beautiful, to the point that we don't believe them in their sport, or we are distracted by how overly beautiful they are.
By saying "real people types," I am not meaning to say, people who are intentionally unattractive or out of toned physical shape,... but rather, that these people can be more unique than a typical sports/athletic leaning commercial.
These people should be in reasonably good physical shape, as EVIDENCED by the sport that they are being considered for, THAT THEY ACTUALLY DO, in real life. That action, in real life, will inform what their body looks like, in real life.
We’re looking for real people that are part of the relevant exercising cultures. Definitely not the stereotypical Nike athletes, nor a generic group of fitness models. They should be athletic and fit, with a wide diversity. We want them to look and feel like real friends. People that are comfortable running, cross-fitting, boxing and golfing together.
In the spot, those cast will have to PROFICIENTLY perform the physical exercise that they are being cast for, likely in a repetitive manner, and thus, ... no newbies please, because we will need these performers to have actual STAMINA in their athletic sport.
The sports we are casting for are as follows:

CYCLING, specifically MOUNTAIN BIKING / TRAIL RIDING.(which is a considerably different skill than road cycling --- so please be specific about this

RUNNING

GOLFING (we will specifically want some people submitted with a very thin frame for this role, for a specific FX shot)

BOXING

We want people who REALLY DO these sports, PROLIFICALLY, and REGULARLY, in their real lives. That being said, they do not have to be on any PRO level... but must be seriously proficient and able to REPETITIVELY execute their skill with ease, for as many takes as will be necessary.
