They aren't sold at a lot of places and they are pricey, but worth it! Ace hardware is one of the places that sells them by me which is strange, but whatever.

I've weaned out a lot junk food in my diet, but over the holidays we had a large supply of roasted pecans and cashews with the cinnamon sugar coating on the outside, and I once I started eating those things, there was no going back. So good. So addictive. I was a fiend.

And if you can smell the aroma while they're being made you basically have to buy them.

Buy some bulk pecans and make your own. Way cheaper and the kitchen smells amazing when you're doing it.

Do you have a recipe that actually works? I’ve tried several things over the years and it never gets even half as good as the ones from the candy stand. Went to the Christmas market almost daily during our holiday travels and it’s basically impossible for me to not stop at the nut stand, especially after a couple Glühwein.

On second thought, maybe I shouldn’t be able to make my own.

I've had pretty good success with this one. https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/13...coated-pecans/

In my experience with honey BBQ chips the BBQ is the main flavor experience. In these chips I feel like the honey takes the star role with the chipotle offering just a bit of heat. Add in the hearty crunch of the kettle cooked chips and this combo hits all the right spots.

I also tried the white cheddar boom chicka pop that someone recommended earlier and it was of course wonderful. The flavor was not overpowering and made for an easily consumable snack. I've gotten two bags and ate the whole bag in one sitting both times.

Calbee hot garlic shrimp chips. These things are the bomb. Not particularly hot/spicy, but quite flavorful and addicting. If you need a harder sell than that, let me combine another recent OTTopic with this one for you:

I tried that one in the past with almonds and while I liked the flavor, they were way more sticky than I had hoped. Will give it another shot with pecans this week.

I opened a bag of Skinny Pop Pepperjack at the start of the AFC championship game and finished before the first drive was over. Big sticker on the bag says only 47 calories per cup but the full bag still came in at 630ish.

I always thought it was funny in The Wire when they would get crab flavored potato chips. Patron, you ever try these

Seafood flavored chips just seem wrong, but to each his own.

Tab: those sound great, I’ll give them a try. You should try honey butter chips. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honey_Butter_Chips Trader Joe’s makes a version. I thought they were pretty good, but not quite craze-worthy.

Patron: the best shrimp flavored chips are mark’s & spencer prawn crackers, which I’ve only seen in the UK and Hong Kong. However, Skips prawn cocktail crisps are nearly the same and available on Amazon.

Mike: I’ve had those utz chips, pretty good. Utz and herr’s both make very good chips with some creative flavors. I’m a fan of herr’s ketchup flavor chips. It’s like a more tangy tomato-y bbq chip.

Mike: I haven't had that specific brand, but I've had both crab flavored and shrimp flavored regular disc-shaped chips before, and they've been great.

I get how seafood flavored chips could seem strange, but they're really not - it's a salty, savory flavor like most chips. You just gotta try it sometime and see if you like it or not.

El D: Thanks, I'll look out for those sometime!

Idk if it’s because I wasn’t raised anywhere near a coast but the crab chips taste completely bitter/almost metallic to me. Had a coworker from Maryland bring them in raving about them and had to fake like I was enjoying them to not hurt his feelings.

Spicy peanuts aren't even unhealthy, quite the opposite! I'm just glad George Washington Carver isn't alive to read this thread smh.

Got around to picking up a bag of the Dot's Pretzels and can add an additional confirmation that they're very good.

I stopped in to an Ace Hardware and saw they had a Dot's display set up near the register. Two guys (probably HS age) saw me checking them out and told me to be careful, they're addictive.

I told them I knew.

Five Below is good for snacks. They have some stuff that can be hard to find, like chunky bars. They also had a whole shelf of different combo flavors recently that I hadn't seen before.

Finally got some of those today after finding out they are sold at a gas station close to the IKEA we always go to.

I really like the taste, but for $6.69/bag, they could use real butter instead of artificial butter flavor and use a larger amount of herbs/spices instead of glutamate and unspecified artificial flavors.

Nice review Mad.

$7 for a bag of pretzels, I think I'd rather make my own than buy that. My aunt makes a sick spicy pretzel thing that I need to learn how to make, some kind of jelopeno pretzel nuggets that makes anything else other than combos seems like peasant food. She doesn't cook the pretzels, just adds the awesome to it with a little baking and seasonings.

Tostitos with Guac, Queso, or Salsa.

Jalapeno or Salt and Vinegar Kettle Chips.

Haagen Daaz ice cream. Dulce De Leche, Cherry Vanilla, and Strawberry are my favorites

Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream. Cherry Garcia, Banana Split, and Cinnamon Roll are my favorites

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and Kit Kats

Stacy's Pita Chips

Beef Jerky
