Having watched this when it aired, pretty sure there was a strict language policy, which is why Sheikhan started agitating for a penalty against Mike when he was the one who was wildly out of line and was the only one who had actually compromised game integrity.

I’m always curious as to whether Mike actually had a strong hand or was just tilting when he shoved.

I never saw the vid, but I did see Sheik break The Mouth’s sunglasses at the felt.

That does feel like forever ago. I played with Mike at a Bellagio tournament years ago and remember him screaming like a cow being butchered when I busted him in a hand. Generally nice guy, however.

$350 buyin tournament at the MGM here in DC. We're down to three tables where fifteen places pay. I'm in the cutoff with 300K, with 1500-3000 blinds and raise to 7K with Q7c. The SB folds and the BB calls. He's on about $150K. I haven't been at the table long and don't otherwise know the villain. He acts fairly slowly and seems to be thinking about what he is doing.

Shove. Case 7 never folding, busted draws not calling anything unless if was AdXd, in which case he prob calls a shove as often as a smaller bet.

Barring history/reads I'd just put him in. Sure seems like you have the best hand and checking feels so gross.

With the little you know, could he have T8? What else does he call with if you bet? I probably go all-in and hope he spazzes out with AK. But I'd be wrong and he has T8.

Easy shove. We are just trying to get paid. You crush most 7s, a crappy jack may thinks it's splitting now, busted flushes ain't calling anyways, if they have the Adxd they will call you and think their jack kicker is fine, if they're nitty with ajo they're paying you off.

His call on the turn screwed down his range really far, and his slow call there seemed like it was between a raise and a call rather than between a call and a fold. I rather thought he had a 7. Of those, I'm beating 87s, 76s and 75s, while A7 and fairly unlikely K7s, J7s and 97s are beating me. It's also possible that he called me with a J or otherwise light on the flop or improved on the 9 turn, but I'm crushing almost all of those combos. He almost never has JJ or AA because of the preflop action but could conceivably have three 99 combos.

I think he's calling all 7s. I didn't think this villain was capable of a river check-raise bluff, so on 27's line, I'm calling. But I think this should be a jam.

In-game, I mistakenly took the foot off the gas and checked behind. Part of the reason was that the table was super-easy and I was very sure that I didn't need to take a high-variance line, but it's still a mistake on my part.

Villain showed a suited 74 and sadly said "queen plays."

They're not checking a full house twice. They're prolly not just calling 99 pre but it's possible. K7 is more possible than you think preflop but they're not checking it three times lol.

I think this is super low variance. I thought the only two choices were bet a bunch or bet it all I didn't even realize that check was an option.

Assuming Q7c means Qc7c I think fold pre is pretty bad.

Qc7c is correct and I’m not folding that pre.

Given that I bet pre, flop and turn, I can see villain checking full houses on the river. If I’d checked behind on flop or turn, then I agree, he’s very rarely if ever checking full.
