Fyp.

McLovin - you have really been struggling lately. Is everything ok?

I haven’t been struggling.

But thanks for asking.

Your acquaintance,

So on the turn I thought about the hand and decided I thought I could draw to the straight super super profitably (exponentially), and could represent the flush enough of the time to make the float worth it.

Preflop and flop obviously play themselves

Flush doesn't really make sense; Why would you check twice and then just call the turn.

Wtf is that on the flop? Did I skip a page?

And the turn and the river!

I mean, you can't both expect to get paid off when you backdoor a straight AND have villain believe a bluff when the flush card hits. Idk wtf is going on anywhere in that hand

codesis is right, this hand is like a time machine straight back to 2003

but if you decide to sometimes play your fds like that you must straight up bomb the river cause no one will ever believe you, so go $600+

Yeah forgetting the basic "which hands would make sense on every street", thing. On the flop I don't know many olds that would bet UTG with suited cards, flop a Q+ high flush draw and then check. "Everyone knows" you're a favorite against underpairs and that it's a good semi-bluff spot so once you check/call twice the odds that you're playing it that slow are slim. It's possible but so outside of standard play that it doesn't make a great bluff - it's tough to bluff that you're taking a unique line.

2/5 NL w 150 bigs. I toss in a $10 straddle that 4 guys call.

I have 2 black nines and raise to $75. Next guy to act reraises to a total of $275.

Everyone folds and it’s to me.

I call.

Flop comes J/9/3 all ♥️

I jam all in.

He thinks a while and calls.

Turn is a brick, J on the River gives me a full house. I promptly show, he mucks disgustedly and berates me for calling his $200 preflop raise.

I try to ignore him until he tells me that he had AK of ❤️ And he flopped the nuts. That’s why he is so upset and such a ****ty loser.

“No you didn’t.”

“Yes I did.”

“Dude if you really flopped the nut flush you would’ve instacalled me. You had AK w one ❤️.”

“I can take a while to call, it’s part of my plan”

“Dude, I had no more action”

“Huh?”

Regardless of outcome, was calling the $200 raise pre, good or bad?

Josie Very,

What did you range the Limp Re-raiser to have in that hand preflop?

I would have spent the rest of that session trying to get into a spot to slowroll him, just so I could say "it's part of my plan" when he goes on monkey tilt.

Yah nice jam on flop OLC.

Your fiddle-with-chips-then-scared-check move would have been much better.
