S’up OOT poker thread -

I had a hand yesterday that may have been one of my best poker hands ever played, so wanted to share with someone and this seemed like just the right venue for doing so given nobody cares and nobody’s here anyway.

I found myself in a 1/3 game for a few hours early Sunday AM, bought in for $400 max. There was the expected mix of players and stacks for that time of day, with a couple $1,500+ and a couple $100.

Villain in this story was a 70ish Asian gentleman, appears relatively successful. He seems to be the only straddler in the game, and when limped to him about half the time he’s making it $130 to go on top of 4-5 $6 limpers. Most of the time everyone folds. It is clear the other regulars at the table find this guy exceptionally annoying and openly call him out, but he just doesn’t care.

I‘ve built my stack up steadily over time through a combo of being hit with the deck and agressive play post-flop. I have about $750 in my stack. I have played against villain a few times, including limping a few buttons and folding to his $130 raises. The first time I did this I went through the whole “Why so much” routine like I hadn’t noticed him doing this before, got the whole table grumbling about it, and i folded.

About two hours in we get one limp in EP, folds to me on the button. I look down at AA and call.

SB, BB call.

Villain makes it $136 to go.

NOW comes the key question - do I A) call and keep all of his range in; B) minraise? Or C) jam as if in frustration?

I choose C and don’t make a huge speech or anything but play it up a little bit like I’m just playing back at him for being a bully.

He doesn’t even ask for a count and calls.

He has
