kyle,

Since you think 90 is such a cakewalk, let's hear a number.

wtf who hasn't put ranch on pizza? Its not something I do every time but it can do wonders for some types of pizza. I am excited that you guys are coming up with more condiments to try!

Also wtf at calling ranch on pizza (rolls) the fattest thing ever when ppl had already been discussing DEEP FRYING pizza rolls in this same thread.

I think 90 in an hour is going to be doable. Not sure on how many more bonus rolls I can put down, but we'll see.

The traditional timeframe for OOT eating festivals is 2 hours

kyle,

I think we'll run the festival like those car racing video games.

Anyone past 90 at an hour gets to keep going.

Anyone past 120 at 90 minutes gets to keep going.

Anyone past 150 at 2 hours gets to keep going as long as they want.

Fly,

While in the past the official time limit has normally been two hours, there was some discussion after the last festival about changing the default to one hour and adjusting as required based on the food selection. I think most agreed that one hour was plenty for the pizza roll competition, but of course we can easily extend the offical duration of this festival to two hours if that's what people would like.

Ranch is a really good way to make unpalatable pizza palatable. Also, Italian dressing. Also++, buffalo wing sauce.

cook the pizza rolls properly to avoid e. coli.

I think I'll participate in this. Don't have a webcam so I'll be chowing McShove style. I'm only 5'10 165lbs so I'm gonna go for a whole 40 piece bag and have reserves ready if needed. will probably try a test run this weekend or next when watching basketball. CAN'T WAIT!!!

As long as its at the Mons Venus, yes.

Also, this talk of 90 in an hour is a bit far-fetched.
That breaks down to 1 every 45 seconds, which for the first 20 is completely doable, but after that would be a stretch at best.

I see 50 being a struggle.

I also see the aftermath being a lot worse than black poop

All - bravo to whomever is going to deep fry these. Deep frying is the prep method of choice, and brings out the full deliciousness of the pizza roll. I wish I had the patience for that.

I will be going with the baking method. The tentative plan is to have a two sheets of 40 cooled and ready to roll at 7pm PST, with another sheet in the oven on warm for 7:30. I am fortunate in that my tastebuds LOVE these things room temperature.

Unlike the OREO faceoff, which was more attrition oriented, pizza roll training has shown me that it is best to come out of the gate HARD. My initial milestone will be to have the first sheet of 40 finished within 15 minutes. After that, I will try to maintain a 2 roll per minute pace.

All that's left for me to do in these final two and a half weeks is to experiment with finding the optimal number and type of beer to be consumed before and during the challenge. After this Friday, I will not look at another pizza roll until the date of the faceoff, to give my body plenty of time to starting craving them again.

I'm really not into tooting my own horn, but for the amount of training being put into this, I'm expecting to see some history made on 3/31.

Also, not sure if this should be a separate thread, but I'd like to solicit some inspirational musical suggestions for my pizza roll faceoff playlist.

There used to be a place in the mall that made some awesome pizza small mom and pop store and they used to put ranch over the cheese and then put a little bit of italian along the crust.

Amazing.

I have never had pizza rolls (Canadian) I am not sure if we have them but I am in Baltimore right now and going to try to do a box of 40 today.

I'm sure its easy for you, fatty.

Do you guys think being fat is an advantage or disadvantage? I guess the crazy japanese eaters would lead me to believe its a detriment.

If I can find an equivalent of these in Paris I am down.
I think I can easily eat 60-70, possibly 100.

Optimal strategy is to fast for 24 hours before this/empty out colon, ldo.

and btw, holy **** that is an incredible amount of sodium. I wish I didn't see that.

Eat pizza rolls in honor of Patrick Swayze, and help fight cancer!!!

Who would like to pledge some money to the American Cancer Society for each pizza roll I eat?

Mentioned it earlier, but pizza rolls dipped in sour cream that is mixed with Salsa and tobasco to your spice level is the nuts.

Cheesy Taco is the way to go on this competition.
