Thanks man. Messaged them all to get on lists for promos. Now I need to poke around more at their catalogs.

Satan's Rock & Roll by Chapel seems like a no brainer.

I had no idea Hell's Headbangers released a Nunslaughter album in 2014! Must buy. Cleveland holla.

I was late on this one myself, so chances are you've heard it already, but if not, this has a very strong chance of being my AOTY:

Warsawwasraw - Sensitizer

This release has been out for a while, but it is my favorite of the year so far. Easily the most intense, chaotic thing I have ever heard. Not sure how to describe it... maybe Pig Destroyer in a blender?

If anyone knows of anything similar, please let me know. The only thing I can think of is old Ed Gein, but that's not as good, imo.

I didn't even know this was a thing, but it's pretty cool. It took me a while to realize I could actually look around in the video.

That actually brings to mind a topic that could work well in this thread: THE PIT!!!!!

I saw the Wall-Of-Death at a few shows back in the day, but I always loved the East Coast dance pits. They've gotten cheesy now, but when they were good.... It was ****ing art!!!

Nice! I saw it in SLC on the 28th. 2nd time for BTBAM and The Contortionist, 1st time seeing AAL. ALL were really great but BTBAM is just on another level.
Weird thing happened where Blake, the drummer, got pissed and knocked over some cymbals and left the stage. They came back out and finished with White Walls after like 20 mins. Nobody cared

One of Bloodshot Dawn's guitarists quit today. What a shame. In memory:

As a change from some of the more obscure bands listed here, some more famous metal acts have recent albums:

Slayer's (thrash) first new album without Jeff Hanneman:

Lamb of God's (groove metal) first album since the singer was acquitted from murder charges for pushing a fan, causing brain injury and death:

Back to the less mainstream bands: Nile (technical death metal) has a new album out, supposedly much heavier than their previous album (odd because I thought their previous album was pretty heavy):

Haven't actually listened to the new Nile or Slayer albums, but figured they were thread-worthy. Only listened to the Lamb of God album once, but it seems pretty good (their highest rated album on Rate Your Music).

From what I've heard of the new Slayer it seems awful, but then again I don't like anything past South of Heaven so my opinion should be taken with a pinch of salt. Nile I've not really liked since Ithyphallic, and Lamb of God I flat out dislike (mostly because I hate everything to do with groove metal).

New Maiden seems pretty good though.
