Damn. The new record was worth picking up if only because I decided to revisit their entire catalog before the new one. Goddamn, was a great band. Necrotism is truly an all-time great.

New Carcass is really great. Ken Owen was replaced by someone who seems a bit too good for this band though. Ken had a great approach, and it gelled really well with everyone else. The guy they got for this one almost seems too good, but the guitar playing is much more intricate and technical then any of their older releases.

I absolutely cannot believe I didn't hear about these guys before today. A friend of a friend posted them on a FB post and I figured, "Why not?". I am seriously blown the **** away. Just amazing. Already got their entire catalog and can't wait for it to arrive.

I think their 4th album was a big step up for TDTE. I've been listening to it like 5x a week for a few months.

It sounds like this might've been their final album tho, if you read their wiki page:

The record being titled The Alpha - The Omega, to us symbolized the beginning and the end of Danza. Jessie and I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed creating it for you all.

And it says years active: 2004-2012.

They're definitely done, but I'm sure they'll do a reunion show or two.

Sucks they weren't around 9-10 years ago. Would've probably played some shows with them.

They don't really belong in this thread, but this doesn't warrant a separate thread.

Just got the new Avenged Sevenfold. Only halfway through it, but it sucks so far. It's the equivalent of their Black Album, and that's not a complement. Not sure if it's because their new drummer sucks or they just wanted to simplify things, but the albums shows none of the complexity of their best albums (which would be pretty much limited to City of Evil).

Actually, their self-titled album is pretty good also.

Having read a few interviews, it seems that their drummer is supposed a really talented guy. They are just purposely playing like Led Zep and Black Sabbath. I honestly don't understand the reasoning though. They have one song that sounds just like late Metallica. Even the vocals.
