I hadn't heard of Illogicist, I like it but they're a little too vintage-sounding for me. I prefer my death metal to be a constant face-smashing. I def recommend the other 3 you listed to anyone reading who hasn't heard them.

Anyone got recs for any form of extreme metal with really filthy production? Few examples of the sort of thing I'm looking for:

Infester - To The Depths... In Degradation
Blasphemy - Fallen Angel Of Doom
Sarcofago - INRI

Take it as a given that I know the entry-level stuff. Oh, and I'm not really looking for any tech death, melodeath, or this 'djent' rubbish.

I'm certain that you didn't watch more than a moment or two. Between his absurd mannerisms, his lyrics, and ****ing up his own lip synching this is the worst front man in history.
