Grunching because I've never been in this thread but have been listening to much technical metal lately.

This is the best ****ing album I've ever heard in my life. Every 4 bars is a different musical idea. Ron Jarzombek is the beast of beasts. I don't like cookie monster vocals but instrumental technical death metal is awesome.

I got the Deathspell Omega 7 LP boxset off Ebay recently...amazingly well packaged and beautiful picture discs, listening to Mass Grave Aesthetics as we speak.

I love Deathspell's music but I've come across really unfortunate stuff they've said in interviews. I'm a relative newcomer to this thread - has there been talk about NSBM and the like?

I've only read one (the only?) interview with them, what did you find "unfortunate"?

That seems like an odd statement to make when you bring up wanting to discuss NSBM in the next sentence...
